Is 28 too old now?I'm a huge fan of Thiago but he's already 28.... and will still cost us 60m which does not make good business sense.

Given his injury record £60m presents a huge risk.Is 28 too old now?
My exact thoughts. I love Thiago but I'm especially concerned about his injury-proness not yo mention his age.I'm a huge fan of Thiago but he's already 28.... and will still cost us 60m which does not make good business sense.
60m for a 28 year old is not worth it especially since his form is going to go downhill.... not to mention that he's injury prone.
True, injury concerns are fair enough. Don't think his style of play is one that's going to suffer through physical decline any time soon though.Given his injury record £60m presents a huge risk.
L'Equipe: Ndombele unsure about United competitiveness, Meunier on radar

I’m not sure this is the calming influence we need in midfield. He’s probably a good player but I feel we need a different profile of midfielder.
With Herrera leaving, we are probably going to sign more than one.I’m not sure this is the calming influence we need in midfield. He’s probably a good player but I feel we need a different profile of midfielder.
I highly doubt that. With Herrera leaving, we are probably going to sign more than one.

Wasn't he pushing for him to move to PSG a few months ago? StrangeLyon chief confirms United interest:

He's clearly trying to start a bidding war.Wasn't he pushing for him to move to PSG a few months ago? Strange

Ah fair, cheers! For context the press was/is linking Ndombélé with PSG and a little more than a month ago Aulas had an interview with a business paper and in that interview the journalist asked if he would be willing to sell players to PSG, he answered that he would have no problem and if they wanted Ndombélé it wouldn't be problem. The question comes from the fact that in the last years, the press tried to create a feud between Aulas and El Khelaifi with both of them playing along.
And a bidding war is never a bad thing for the seller.
Not that Ndombele is better than Pogba but I think we need to learn a thing or two from Liverpool and sell Pogba as they did with Coutinho and strengthen in other areas and Ndombele is that person who could operate in the Pogba position. In fact, getting Ndombele and Bruno for the price of Pogba would be a masterstroke by Ed if he could pull it off.

He bought Van Dijk, Allison, Mane, Salah, Fabinho and Robertson, who are regular starters for them. That's quite a rebuild. If we brought in 6 players of that quality to this current side, that's all you'd need.We need rebuilding - Liverpool only needed a CB and a GK.
It's not really the same thing.

Don’t know too much about Rabiot but a big yes to Tielemans.I'd rather we just sign Tielemans and Rabiot, that's a total spend of 40,50m million and you are getting two quality midfielders.
We need rebuilding - Liverpool only needed a CB and a GK.

So instead of selling a player where we are stacked and scoring a fecktonne of goals to strengthen our weak goalkeeper and and defence, you are advocating selling our best player, with no one to replace him but someone inferior, and spend whatever is left to strengthen our defence, midfield and attack?
Not sure how that is going to work, tbh. Are we going to get £300M for Pogba?
Don’t know too much about Rabiot but a big yes to Tielemans.
Yes, we do need rebuilding. However, the point I was making that we need to sell some of our prized assets like what Liverpool did in order to rebuild a TEAM. Had they not sold Coutinho, they wouldn't have the funds to go ahead and invest in Allison, Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri which bought them some much needed depth in the side.
If we didn't need so many starting players it would be a good idea, but I feel we need too many players to try and replicate what they did.
Pogba and Raiola have their heads turned by Real and Zidane and not to mention, United aren't playing in the Champions League next season. Pogba is looking for a reason to move. We shouldn't hold onto him when we could buy players who can put in consistent performances for us on weekly basis.

First of all, I agree that Pogba is our best player but he's not indispensable. More often than not, he gets nullified by the opposition as we depend heavily on him to run the midfield as well as be the playmaker for our forwards. The state of our current team is such that we are heavily dependent on individual skills and talent to bail us out rather than a team as a whole. If we lose Pogba for a game, our winning percentage drops by what I'm assuming to be as 10% or so. And not to mention, Pogba does not want to be here. It's time we got rid of the toxicity and amputate the infected limb that is Raiola.
