Broad was frustrating at the end but we lost it with our batting.
The way we were set up, losing wickets was a devastating blow to our momentum, as the new batsmen wasn't capable of speeding up the run rate. We just weren't set up right at all. Wright and Bopara are both inexperienced and not use to opening, and then we had openers coming in too late. They got to 10 overs and didnt know what the feck to do. Alright Bops and Wright batted well, but there wasnt a secure head. Some of their shot choices were poor. Why were they trying to hit it over the top of long on at fecking Lords, where the boundaries are ridiculously long but thin. Why was Bopara not aiming to bat through the innings. We really missed them, or another big hitter, lower down the order. And then we have innings-building batsmen coming in too late.
