T20 World Cup

Had to go for the win, in fairness. Would never have run out the other lad.

No. The tie would have bee smart cause they would go to a one over eliminator and that would have allowed Anderson to bowl again. Lets face it, England would have wo that one over eliminator.

No he didn't, yeah, if they are in form and fielding well I might agree with you, but when he didn't seem to be able to hit the stumps for anything it was a silly decision.

Taking the draw and the super over play-off thing would have given us another chance, we'd have had a good chance of beating Holland over one over, surely.

I love England being shit at something gets everyone excited here. I just got texts saying "England hahahahahahahahahaha", "England je bent een zak stront"

The responses in this thread make it sound like we gave them the match on a plate:confused: They were excellent and deserved the win. Worthy winners, hats off and ENJOY IT YOU GUYS:D

THIS is why I love cricket. I also fear for Brad's well being after this!:nervous:

Broad was frustrating at the end but we lost it with our batting.

The way we were set up, losing wickets was a devastating blow to our momentum, as the new batsmen wasn't capable of speeding up the run rate. We just weren't set up right at all. Wright and Bopara are both inexperienced and not use to opening, and then we had openers coming in too late. They got to 10 overs and didnt know what the feck to do. Alright Bops and Wright batted well, but there wasnt a secure head. Some of their shot choices were poor. Why were they trying to hit it over the top of long on at fecking Lords, where the boundaries are ridiculously long but thin. Why was Bopara not aiming to bat through the innings. We really missed them, or another big hitter, lower down the order. And then we have innings-building batsmen coming in too late.

Agreed. We didn't have anyone lower down the order capable of causing havoc for a few overs. It's as if they thought hitting sixes was considered cheating. We were 101-0 after 11 overs, only to trundle to 162-5 after 20. I think England thought that would be enough. Oops.

I thought Holland played well and deserved there win .
We made lots of schoolboy errors and could of won the game on missed runouts.
The rain did not help ,made the ball slippy , oh bollocks it was nothing to do with the rain we was shit ,end off.
We will still make the super 8 stage ,this was just a blip :nervous:

Which Englishman in this thread mocked dem Pakis? (I am paki so i can say it :P)....all i can say is

BAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Yeah because Pakistan weren't beaten by Ireland even more shamefully in the 50 overs world cup.

:wenger:

At least this thread has come to life.

Games today:

New Zealand v Scotland, The Oval (1000)
Australia v West Indies, The Oval (1400)
India v Bangladesh, Trent Bridge (1800)

mmmmmm looks like some good matches , but whats the chance of no play ?
The Oval has 1/2 a chance ,but looking at the waether for Trent Bridge looks dreadful all day.

1 point each.

I can't believe you lot are saying "Holland played great and deserved it".. ffs.. those guys are teachers and cops in real life, they're not even professional cricket players.. it's a third-rate team.. England fecked up big time

They fielded better , they bowled better and part from Wright they batted beter,so yes IMHO they deserved to win.
We could of had 4 maybe 5 run outs,we could of bolwed better to stop them scoring the fours and 6's.
Wright might of scored 70 odd but for me he still looks like he is scared of the bat and he did not score a single 6.

7 overs a side
NZ bowl first

Should win comfortably.

England :(.

Hardly suprising, we specialise in shite like this.

Who cares about 20/20 anyway.
It's all about the ashes ;).

In the bag.

If NZ lose, that'll probably be it for them and Scotland will be in India's group.. don't want that.. that'll be very boring if England too go out
