T20 Circus Auction Draft

Match day rules -

- There would be no toss. Voters have to take into account that which team on average will win more matches, be it batting first or second.

- Pitch selection process will be as follows.

Pitch 1 (P1) - Flat batting track with no assistance for any kind of bowler
Pitch 2 (P2) - Good batting track with some assistance for slow/spin bowlers
Pitch 3 (P3) - Good batting track with some assistance for seam/pace bowlers
Pitch 4 (P4) - Slow pitch with variable bounce, mainly assisting slow/spin bowlers
Pitch 5 (P5) - Green pitch with good bounce, mainly assisting seam/pace bowlers

Now managers will PM me their choice of the pitch and block in this manner -

Manager 1 - Want Px, Block Px
Manager 2 - Want Px, Block Px

It will work as following -

Example 1 -
M1 - Want P1, Block P2
M2 - Want P2, Block P3

In this case, P1 goes though and is selected as the match pitch.

Example 2 -
M1 - Want P1, Block P2
M2 - Want P2, Block P1

In this case, both block each other off so they pick again from P3-5. If they block each other again, then the last remaining pitch gets selected by default.

@Varun @anant

choices please

@Skizzo send it to @Ijazz17

Apparently, England hero Steve Harmison is in charge of a football club, Ashington F.C in the Northern League.

@Skizzo and @harshad , if you guys can send in your Picks by 6 PM BST, I'll post the pitch conditions and hopefully, within an hour after that, we can start the match. Else Crappy's pick will be selected by default.

Have PM'ed Skizzo, with suggestions if he doesn't come online by 5pm BST, I will send you the picks.

Also, it might be a good idea if semi finalists don't vote for each other's matches. Since this is an informal rule regularly followed in the football drafts, I think we should do it too for the Cricket one's, from here onwards.

Reinforcement-Final Auction Rules -

1. Any money saved from previous auctions will carry forward for this round
2. Another 50m will be given for this round.
3. Minimum price of a player in first reinforcement round will be 30m.
4. If you bid your maximum purse on a player and another player has the same amount of funds left at that point(not more, the same), then he can match that bid as well. If both bids go through then the player will be allotted via a super over. (This is done so that a manager is not at a disadvantage due to time different, resulting in missing out on bidding first on a player).
5. At no point can the total price bidded for players+existing value of squad should exceed 400m. If that occurs, it will lead to voiding of several bids and a penalty of 10m.
6. A player will be deemed sold if no rival bid is placed on him for 12 hours.
7. Minimum increment of a bid has to be 2m within the first 4 hours of the last bid, 5m for the next 6 hours and 10m in the last 2 hours.
8. All timestamps on auction board must be of GMT time.
9. You can not have a squad of more than 15 players. If you buy a 16th player then you must discard an existing one.
10. You can only nominate a player on the board by bidding on him.
11. Auction nominations will close after one day of the time the bids go live.

@crappycraperson dont we usually do the final reinforcement round as a snake style?

You get to pick first, as you have the more
Money, and then @Varun would pick.

Otherwise you've raised the starting bid to 30m meaning you get the unfair advantage of picking 2 players to his 1.

Just wondering. Your draft and all :)
