Ah I didn't know that. Fourth draft but still relatively new. He is a pretty fantastic player, hence why I picked him so early. Out of curiosity... how come he wasn't your first pick?
 
So does everyone else have a player picked early who has screwed many good potential picks at latter stages?

Schuster has been fecking irritating for me.

I've been quite careful. Baresi took out a few but he was too good to miss out on.

He should have been my second but he usually flies under the radar and I got greedy thinking I could snatch Boniek and then get Socrates 3rd. Greed killed me haha :(

It's been surprisingly okay for me so far. Most of the top players that van Basten blocked were gone early anyway, and I knew Breitner would block loads but it was an acceptable trade off for top tier quality. I did have a dilemma on my hands with two unpicked players that I wanted who played together, but some scumbag who shall remain nameless for now has taken the decision out of my hands :mad:.

EDIT: Said scumbag may have actually done me a favour, as I just remembered that the player he picked blocks another who I'd like to round out my team as well.

Not been too bad here - the worst problem is a run of picks in one position while you wait 30 turns to have another go. Not that anyone landing Maradona in pick 1 should ever complain. Brehme blocks quite a few but most of the big Germans from around that era are in the same boat, so you just have to roll with it to be competitive.
 
Rummenige played with all the greatest German players: it was him or Gullit for my 1st pick
