guys don't know what you think but I've been looking through teams and potential upgrades if they win their matches and the chances to genuinely upgrade on a given position is very very slim.. for the picks before the QF's, decent chance of one upgrade or two if you are lucky but for the remainder of the draft, genuinely improving on your team is nigh on impossible.

Is blocking picks from positions 1 and 2 for a BNM type draft shooting ourselves in the foot too much.. what do you think @Physiocrat. I was thinking blocking pick from 1st picks (so Messi etc are definitely blocked), but allowing picks from 2 onwards just to ensure we have a slightly wider pool to chose from.

You could well be right. I just had the EAP rule instinctively to stop GOAT hoarding. Since it was though in the rules at the beginning we should keep it since everyone has drafted with that assumption. Let's see how it goes and it may be worth tweaking in future drafts.
