Support the manager and the players

I don't think it's too early to voice anger towards the performances, but it's not just the players and manager that need it. The protests against the Glazers need ramped up again. Groups like the 1958 need our full support. Green and Gold needs to be flying around Old Trafford. Once again we're seeing the wrong decisions being made at the club and the main decision makers are able to sit quietly and wait out the storm.

I know not everyone will agree with me but I genuinely believe that Ten Hag would have been better than this if we had a proper set up behind the scenes. But, alas, we don't and we need to start being ruthless with changes I just wish we had competent people making those changes.

It’s just too convenient to blame our players lack of mental strength. Our problems have always been lack of ideas in creating chances.
Every time the going gets tough our players crumble like a deck of cards.

I've supported this club over 45 years but sacking Eric would spell the lowest point for me. I genuinely think we need to be sticking behind this manager while focussing on getting the parrasites out. We need to judge him when he can run things with the support Pep gets.

The problem is these same types of posts have taken place under almost every manager the idea that you give something time in management is a rhetoric that's based on sentiment as opposed to any hard facts. Before someone says Sir Alex got 6 odd years that would stipulate that every manager given more than 4 season would resemble SAF which isn't accurate in the slightest United weren't giving time to a manager they gave time to the best manager in world football.

Not saying the manager should go but 400M in and the second season, the only person responsible for underperforming in their responsibility is the one who's in the role.

ETH and these players aren’t going to make this much better, the club is suffering a slow, painful death under the Glazers. It’s at the point now where the manager is almost irrelevant until the club gets new owners.

Would like to see him with his first choice 11 fit. Not happening though, is it?

Yeah, look this is a similar to Liverpool last season imho. I think we will come good.

People forget that we had the most games of any club in Europe, coupled with a large amount of players at the world cup. They look tired and unfit and we only had a small break because we had to go globe trot for pre season

Plus I'll take a year out of CL to get rid of the parasite's

I'd also love to see Jose or Ole with a competent sporting structure beneath them, but hey in life you get what you get and you have to adapt.

Enough excuses now.
What excuses? Losing to Brighton and Brentford and getting slapped by City and Liverpool is our level. Erik massively over achieved in the end last year, but 10 years of mismanagement, incompetence and poor decision making at the top of the club are why we are where we are. Erik is achieving inspite of the owners, imagine where we would be if he had their support.

The owners are the problem, but we need a manager who can work well under this shitty situation. It's been like this for many years.

When ten Hag signed his contract, he knew full well he'd be working for the Glazers. The question was whether he had that sprinkle of magic other past managers didn't have. It doesn't look like it.

Don’t get this thread or this general theme.. “Back the manager”, “give him time till injuries clear”, “no other manager would do well”, “Glazers need to go”.
Weve all been here before with LVG, Mourinho and Ole. This shit doesn’t turn around at this point. It’s not just a few defeats . The atmosphere around the club is really bad, players looking like they’ve chucked it and we’re losing every week.
He IS GOING to get sacked by the glazers regardless of fan support and the glazers aren’t going anywhere,

Hysteria - calm down people - ETH fully understands he’s got a lot of work to do.

It’s and evolutionary process and we got to do more evolving.

I’m old enough to remember when there were loads calling for Fergie (in his 4th and 5th season) - he got it right eventually and we need to stick with Eric.

We need to rid ourselves of poor performers - first and foremost.

I wish I had a gif of Troops screaming "Trust the PROCESS! Arteta OUT!"

Last time I checked this was a forum for opinions and discussion - when we’re happy we cheer, when we’re unhappy we bitch. That’s how it works.

If you don’t like it, the door is thataway…..

100% behind the manager. We have some real deep rooted problems in our club at the moment that has been growing like Japanese knotweed in the foundations for years.

ETH is the first manager I feel who is willing to stand up and point the finger when needed. First one to show a bit of backbone and begin to put an end to player power. However, there is only so much he can do as a manager. The club is broken and needs a full restructure. From the DoF down to the dinner ladies. Shit has got out of hand under the Glazers.

In conclusion, it wouldn’t matter what manager we bring in, under the current circumstances, they will fail. We have peppered the club with successful managers since Sir Alex and they have all failed. Despite having huge spending power, everyone of them has failed so why would the next be any different? Its time we realise the club is fundamentally broken and until that is fixed, no one man is going to make much of a difference. So I don’t care if we have 2 or 3 more shit seasons under ETH but for once I’d like to stick by someone and allow them to mold a full team on their own, instead of changing every couple of years and ending up with a team full of 5 different managers signings.

The manager is going to lose more and more support if we keep losing games.

5 losses before October is fecking putrid.

Palace don’t have a player who’d get in our side.

The ownership is terrible, but Ten Hag isn’t making good use of what he has. He does not need years to get a team playing, and if he does he’s not the right man.

Look at what Spurs and Ange have done.

So if these technically superior players can’t find a way to overcome their technically inferior opponents, what exactly does that say about them?

Confidence and coaching is the issue.

Other than Eze, Andersen & Guehi that Palace side is full of cloggers.

I agree with you in what you are saying about quality but where is the Roy Keane grit and desire? He wouldn’t lack confidence, he’d be confused and pissed as to why no one gave a shit. These players are on astronomical wages, they must have accountability.

I agree but Roy Keane is one of the best players we’ve ever had.

None of our current squad can lace his boots.

I think the Rooney/Carrick generation of the squads desire and will to win was never replaced.

Our key players became the likes of Rashford, Martial etc. Ronaldo critiqued them in the Piers Morgan interview and he was spot on.

How about no, those overpaid leeching cnuts can feck themselfs, talk about support but it aint their fault, pricks playing on fear card and morons just give them mental contracts. Funny how weirdos jump in managers/players corners from first minute for no reason

So in short, Ten Hag hasn’t been given enough money to sign players.

We need Todd Boelhy.
Nothing to do with money. The money we spent could have been spent alot better.

I just wish people would put their energy into forcing the glazers out. Don’t go into the stadium, protest, storm the pitch. Something. Don’t just go in and watch the match like everything is normal and boo a bit at the manager when the inevitable poor result happens.

Then we should be well coached but lacking in quality. We are more the other way round than anything. This isn’t a well drilled team. There are teams with far worse players than ours who have better organisation. Hell, even the one that beat us a few hours ago. They’d have killed us if their players were a few levels better. But with what they had, they were far better drilled. The same goes for the team that beat us at OT before that. Players not that good, but collectively far better drilled. Wolves would have beaten us if they had better quality too. Wolves not being able to beat us was clearly on their owners, not their coach. What is our excuse for constant dire football? The manager is not very good.

Eze would walk into our midfield.

I agree we dont look like a well drilled team. However we have many players missing and on top of that it seems players are not doing what is asked, which has been a theme from last season

Personally I think he does not have the players bought into what he wants and thats a problem. I don’t know if hes a good manager or not. What I do know is that a few managers have been saying the same thing about certain players in this squad.

Also having players stick around that you clearly wanted gone does not help (as we saw with Tuchel at Chelsea last season)
