My brother in law is a Barnsley fan and says he’s nothing special.. kept them up during a relegation battle, but the football was tumescent…make of that what you will ‍

Geez, don't compare Barnsley to us ... :wenger:

Looks nothing like Stam. A quick browse and you can either see him like a henchman or..

Clearly Ben Kingsley in sexy beast. Yes! Yes! Yes!

Can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
Usually when it comes to Barnsley I’d be inclined to agree.. but the following manager got them plying nice football, got them to the play offs, (and then buggered off to west brom, taking the captain with him)

obviously the teams aren’t comparable, but it’s interesting that the following manager had them playing decent football and got them into the play offs.. (before ultimately leaving them for west brom and taking their captain with him)

Imagine him telling Ronaldo or Rashford they are not playing. 'Sure boss, yes boss, whatever you say'

Sounds like Jesse Marsch is on a knife edge at Leipzig. He speaks warmly of Rangnick. Apparently he’s been poor in Germany and Salzburg have gotten even better since Jaissle came in, but Marsch showed definite potential as a coach so he wouldn’t be the worst shout if, as expected, he is fired in the next few weeks.

All news managers/head coaches brought in their own coaching team, mostly their “mates” who know their methods. Nothing new.
It’s like people here has never work one day in their life. You need to bring your people in and surround yourself with the people you trust. It is more comfortable working with the people you already knew. This also applies to any field. The difference is knowing whether your mates are qualified to do their job or they only lick your arse to get by your side.

To be fair he saved Barnsley from relegation, albeit with help from Wigans collapse, and was making progress until Red Bull came calling again.

No one has mentioned we've been linked to his assistant at Red Bulls as well (reported originally by Mark Gleeson). 44 year old former South African international Bradly Carnell. He played under Ragnick at Stuttgart and was apparently one of Ragnick's most trusted players. He was a mainstay when Stuttgart under Ragnick finished second in Bundesliga behind Bayern in 02/03

You also haven’t responded to where you heard that NY Red Bull play some high intensity attacking football

so he’s going to be the shouty, mean one, who rips into martial for trotting around the pitch. rangnick will then be the sweet, kind one who picks him back up again, gives him warmth and reassurance and lots of little kisses as he turns into the striker that he doesn’t have the mentality to make it as.

I'm sure Ralf has asked him, doesn't mean he'd be willing to drop down to a coaching role even for Manchester United.
