Why would anyone not want to play for Dortmund
He doesn't know the language and isnot confident of learning it. He has a wife or partner that is settled and does not want to live in another country. He has a young kid.

Also if we're talking a permanent move, he'd have to take sizeable pay cut.

Pretty sure I've seen an article saying he would be fine moving abroad

Eurgh, that's disgustingly cringey
I agree. It would have been funny had they been the first to do something like that, now it just looks lame and desperate. As far as I remember, City were the first to do it when Gundogan tweeted them saying "Announce Gundogan".

If so, then I would find the rumours of him not wanting to go to Sevilla or Dortmund as nonsense then. Clearly teams like Juve, Barca, Madrid and Bayern will not be in for him.

Nope he's not good enough for them. Adrian is decent for West Ham but if I was them i would look at Hart.

I don't understand why people are pissed at English players bot going abroad more often, this is pretty much a money driven game, and the English clubs, certainly now, pay way more than foreign ones, so unless they sign for Barca, Real or Bayern then why would they take a considerable pay cut when they can stay at home, not have to learn a new language and be around friends and family!

Yeah being young and rich it'd be a good thing to learn a new language, experience item her cultures, but often these footballers just see how much they could be making, and when you think, either earn 75k in your home country or 50k abroad, that's alot of money to give up just to have an 'experience' playing abroad.

Bale wouldn't have moved if only Valencia were after him cos of the money, it's why these players are going to Qatar and China, and to England! Money talks.

I would prefer to work close to home and if I'd get paid more for it, it would be a no brainer really.

Exactly! People see the premier league and applaud all the foreign players for moving to a new country etc but you can bet your life on it that if their home league was as rich as the EPL then they wouldn't leave, like if the EPL wasn't so rich you think you'd see Ibra, Pogba, here? No chance.

Shit planning from Arsenal. They needed to strengthen their centre-back options even before the injuries of Mertesacker and Paulista.

Ambitious clubs are always going to be reluctant to sell their key players less than 10 days before the end of the transfer window.

They're going to overpay for someone anyway, so might as well pay Gimenez's release clause.

Knowing Wenger, though, it's not going to happen as he has to think about the 600 employees.

Why would Gimenez want to go to Arsenal?

Hart would be insane not to move to Dortmund. He is clearly a buffoon if he prefers Everton to playing for a side in the CL and who could challenge for the German league.

Well, you won´t have to question his sanity as we will never be in for him. Seriously, who comes up with nonsense like this? Have these "journalists" gotten so damn lazy that they not even check the most basic principles of the clubs whom they link players with?

- We are done with incoming players for this Summer as has been stated numerous times by all key officials. In general we never sign expected starters that late in the window. The closest thing to that was Kagawa, who was a special case as he already knew the coach, the majority of the team and the club´s enviroment.

- None of the officals have expressed displeasure with our current GK. Especially Bürki improved a lot in the second half of the last season after having struggled with the transition in his first few months. Bürki is younger and a lot better in terms of distribution compared to Hart which leads to the next point.

- Hart does not fit Tuchel´s play style at all. We normally need a Keeper who is actually confident with the ball and a decent passer as we play nearly as possession heavy as Guardiola does.

- There is nothing, not even a whimper about this supposed interest coming from sources close to Dortmund.

- He would be in terms of wages far too expensive for what we would be willing to pay him.

Yeah that 600 employee comment may be a good true one for the last 10 years but for the last few and especially this summer with the tv money, one of the worst cop outs I have heard. It amazes me he hasnt signed a proper quality centre back since Sol Campbell, Koskielny is a good centre back but not a world class one, more like the good partner to one for me. ALso he hasnt signed a proper leader since god knows when, that side of Adams, Keown, Viera, Petit. They have signed some quality attacking players the last few years but what is missing seems glaringly obvious to everybody but Wenger. The Swiss midfielder may be a step in the right direction....if he can stay on the pitch that is
