Someone should ask the Di Marzio crew about these rumours.

Di Marzio is a clickbait fraud, pal.

Has claimed this summer that we'd sign Zlatan, Mkhitaryan and Pogba and that Mourinho would be our manager.

I mean, at least make your lies realistic.

:nervous:

Feck me, every Everton fan would faint.

They will indeed, when they find out that the player in question is James Bree from Barnsley...or possibly Sean O'DrISCOll as new member of the coaching staff :)

The pre-season matches I saw, he used 4-2-3-1.

I see, the only 2 games I've seen of Everton he's used the 3-5-2, but even so I still don't get the point in Bolasie, he's a novelty act IMO.

They all need to take a look at Lingard and see what some patience and perseverance can get you.

Not sure about that. One fairly poor season but a proven goalscorer. If Lukaku can't be shifted for £65m nor Deeney for £30m I would put Benteke at £35m comfortably from a market POV.

Agree. I always liked benteke. In the right setup he is lethal. Liverpool just didn't use him the right way. Liverpool knows that benteke is going to do well if the team is build around him so that's why they want so much for him. I feel sorry for benteke though. This might end up being berahino situation over again.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know where Varane fits into Zidane's plans? Are Pepe and Ramos ahead of him in the pecking order?

There is no way that Varane would break those two up. Ramos is Spain's golden boy and Real's captain while Pepe is one hell of a defender. Injury is the only route in for Varane.

Just trying to get the best price based upon what we paid. Given the current market they obviously are quite happy to wait for a better deal.
I think the club have looked at some of the deals in the past , for instance buy back clauses being put in place on young players sold.

Whilst not desperate for the money we have to protect the assets we have, and get the best prices. Cannot afford to waste funds (like we have in the past).

5m isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things. You were never going to get more than you paid for him and you could use that towards getting in, hmmm I don't know, maybe a left back?

If I was Palace I'd be sticking to my guns to be honest.
Liverpool want to sell him and looks like he hasn't got a chance in the first team this year.

Palace are the only club that we know of which are interested / bidding for the player.
Come deadline day, if Liverpool still have Benteke, they can't really afford to have him playing in the reserves until January as his price will drop more.
I think Palace as it stands are in the better bargaining position

I do agree they're in the better position, but seems pointless to even bid less than their original bid that got rejected. Maybe they are just trying to string it out and show they are still interested.

C'mon Jose, get on that blower to Mr. Mendes and get James to Old Trafford. That would be the best transfer window ever. Looks like Zidane doesn't fancy him.

Replacing Rooney with him would be great, but we won't do it this summer

Hope people stop bailing RM out of their bad buys.
This. Rodriguez is a good player but at around 30-35m, not 78m. They massively overspent on him themselves and anyone who pays what theyre looking for him is stupid. I'd be surprised if chelsea are really offering that much for him. I think Real are feeding quotes to the spanish press to raise his transfer fee.

Agreed. He is, arguably, the least talented of the three, but is doing well because of his determination to succeed. Have to have a lot of respect for the lad.

Yeah I know but it would be gutting for him to end up at Chelsea. How people turn their nose up at Rodriguez is baffling considering he'd be a considerable upgrade on most of our midfield. Just because Real don't want him doesn't mean he is rubbish. Barca have offloaded Toure and Sanchez and Real have offloaded Robben, Ozil, Di Maria etc. amongst others in the past. All quality players having served their new clubs well.

Would take him in a heartbeat. C'mon Jose, you have the same agent. Make that call!

We don't need him.
And we won't sign him either.

I'd rather wait and get a Griezmann.

Yup seeing Griezmann's buy out clause makes me think he will be our top target to replace Rooney eventually. So the club don't mind missing out on James.

I reckon next summer you will see alot of attacking midfielders wanting a move to bigger clubs, Alexis Sanchez, Hazard, Reus, Griezmann quiet a few good players

Valencia doing some shite transfer business this summer. Nani has been their only positive so far.

Don't get why people want James Rodriguez. So overrated. Like people has said Griezmann should be our next major signing. Then we will challenge for the champions league next season imo.
