It is an appallingly written letter. The lack of punctuation and misspelling is quite shocking considering the source.
I'm starting to wonder if that's genuine. I think it's fake, my girlfriend pointed out the weird pixels behind the text, as if the text had been photoshopped/planted on a scan of a blank manchester united letter.
This might be fake, be he DID receive a letter from Sir Alex while playing for Standard Liege. Was all over the news back then in Belgium.

Not sure about that. One fairly poor season but a proven goalscorer. If Lukaku can't be shifted for £65m nor Deeney for £30m I would put Benteke at £35m comfortably from a market POV.
Palace could probably get Berahino for that amount. High risk game Liverpool are playing here.

I've looked into the tweets a bit and somebody guessed them 3 names and his response was 'You're red hot' or something but he won't give the name away. So may not be one of them players but somebody similar.

Palace should stay with that offer and not increase it unless some other club comes in. Transfer window will be closing in a couple of weeks and I am sure Liverpool won't want to keep Benteke on their payroll

Their first offer was £25m - they now offer £23m plus add on's (that may not even come about).
Clearly from LFC standpoint they want more, do not need the money and want closer to the £30m mark.

Seemed that way last season if I remember correctly. I imagine it's a situation we'll monitor this season with next summers transfer window in mind.

Draxler is a cracking player. I'd take him over the other two actually...if he goes to Everton he'll be coveted by the likes of United and City for a tonne of money in a few months.

Just trying to get the best price based upon what we paid. Given the current market they obviously are quite happy to wait for a better deal.
I think the club have looked at some of the deals in the past , for instance buy back clauses being put in place on young players sold.
Whilst not desperate for the money we have to protect the assets we have, and get the best prices. Cannot afford to waste funds (like we have in the past).

Palace are the only club that we know of which are interested / bidding for the player.
Come deadline day, if Liverpool still have Benteke, they can't really afford to have him playing in the reserves until January as his price will drop more.

Fair enough, but we don't necessarily have to sell for the money. It may be considered a gamble but the club (change in direction). are not going to sell players on the cheap.
I am not sure who is in the best position - they clearly want him but haven't as yet offered what LFC consider the right price.
