A very interesting transfer. If City signed every highly rated Brazilian not named Neymar over the last few years they would be lighter in the pocket and on the field.
On a side note I have never seen the Spanish big 2 lose out on so many targets in one window.

Haven't seen him much of him but he was awful in the Euros. People on here were saying he'd be a decent signing for us so I'd say he didn't play to his true ability.

Vidic's Namesake, Croatian CB Vida, has always impressed me when I've seen him. Made a point to focus on him in the Euros and think he was one of the best performing defenders in the tournament.

I would have taken Glik personally. Especially at the £6m or whatever he cost Monaco. Wonder if they would sell for around £10m if we bid xD.

Going by the Euros (or WC) is a notoriously misleading way of evaluating any player.

Yeah would've been a good shout I reckon, him and Maksimovic his CB partner at Torino are both very good.

I'm really not bothered at all by City signing Gabriel Jesus. Granted, I have never seen him play, but can anyone remind me how many Brazilians that have actually made it in the premier league during the last decade? Coutinho? Oscar if you are really kind...
He seems to have a small build too, so I'd say it's far from a sure thing. Potential, probably yes, but no need to get upset imo.

"Make of that what you will". The refrain of journos everywhere when they seize upon a relatively innocuous piece of information, but don't actually want to go so far as speculating what it might mean, because the answer is, likely, "nothing".
Well just doing a basic search on Getty (I had no idea what it is) shows you can buy the rights to a bunch of images of Pogba from his old United days, Im not sure who registered the rights to them but if it is United which you would assume it is pretty big news, it means his image rights have cleared (one of the finer details) We edge closer.

What is/who are Getty?

Excuse my ignorance.

They are the company who trademark lots of the good photos you see on the web. Basically they are a photo database and you have to pay to use their photos otherwise you see the getty sign in the middle of the photo

It would probably the club republishing then through Getty.

More likely photographers uploading images they archived in the hope of royalties while he's a hot topic.

Worth noting that a percentage of that selling right will go to United/Pogba hence us buying his image rights. You cant just sell a picture of someone because you own it. Especially a prominent and internationally known sports star. Pogba and United will be getting a slice of that fee. Looking at them some are selling for £400+ !
