Sissoko is a great player. Not too sure why anyone would turn thier nose up at him. He was absolutely phenominal in the Euros

You realize he sucked at Newcastle the whole time, right? Sure he made a few nice runs in the Euros but it's not like he'd Madrid worthy.
Sissoko was not phenomenal at the Euro's. He had a decent tournament which had everyone wondering wtf he was doing for Newcastle. He's a great athlete when he can be bothered. Which isn't very often btw.

I don't understand why Real Madrid are trying to sign anyone. They already have a great squad, they don't need to sign players for the sake of it.
Sissoko is shite. 2 great games at the Euros mean feck all. It'd be incredibly risky to pay 30 million on the back of 2 decent games, considering the garbage season he had last year.

Some days ago Madrid published a tweet announcing Sissoko but deleted after some seconds so probably is true.

I actually think Sissoko may play better alongside better players, and he's the sort of fair weather player that will probably benefit waking up in the sunshine. Think he'll do alright but still an unnecessary risk for Real.
Decent backup player for them, don't see it as a risk, he won't be a regular starter
Depends on the fee I guess, at £30m I think it could still be a risk as resale value will be very low if he struggles. Think a new challenge could see the best from him though.
They need an upgrade on Casemiro.
Think they could do with cover at full back too, Marcelo has no proper competition and Danilo is poor. Aside from that they're set, unless the potential transfer ban causes an issue.

He's pretty average. Looks good because he provides balance, but there's clearly a huge potential to improve on him whereas everyone else is near enough top 3 in their position.
Which is more important than being a top3 player.

Yeah sure, but I mean he's useful right now because of the make up of the squad i.e. their glaring lack of a holding midfield.
He'd be useless to them if they had a decent holding midfielder or a pair more suited to a midfield 2 than Kroos and Modrić.
Put him in the Barcelona or Bayern squad and he doesn't even make the bench - he wouldn't start for most of the big English sides either, or Juventus.

In his defence those are quite old. He seems to be a bit better since 2015 onward. For instance, he was spot on about Kante to Chelsea about a month before it happened, and said Zlatan was done before the Euros (although that could've been an educated guess).
