Just goes to show that transfer rumours are just that, rumours + Sport is unreliable. Now the player seems to be back in Barcelona's sights based on what Monchi & Del Nido commented on the last couple of days

-Anything you have heard from Raiola is non-sense and he is protecting Juventus.
-Juve and other Italian clubs like to look like the deal was hard to agree to save face.
-Thinks the Fabinho links are made up but could be an option we go for after todays performance.
-Lingard isnt expected to survive the cull.
-Fellaini may decide to take up an offer he has in Italy (potentially why we may be looking at Matuidi also)
-Says he wants the Pogba deal to be announced as its all done, the fee is agreed, the wages, Madrid are not interested and cant pay the same fee. Says hes sick of being asked about it.

No chance any European club would offer that, Perez would drive him there personally if that would happen. Must be some Chinese club, like some here have said.
Sure. There is a reason we were one of the teams included in his contract as the teams with a lower release clause. Us, RM, Bayern and some other team had a clause for 24m euros in his contract, so the reported bid from us for about 35m euros is bullshit.
I think that's fabricated for dramatic effect but we should have bid, he's going to be a big star and we'll wish we'd bought him.

If his injury record and fitness level considering his age is okay I wouldn't be against it. We lack defensive qualities in our MF I think.
Hopefully we bin Basti + one more of our terribly underperforming central midfielders (Fellaini would be my favourite) and get Diarra and Pogba.

It will be absolutely crazy on here and on Twitter if we fail to get Pogba now. The amount of people who've guaranteed it's going to happen is ridiculous and many will lose their long-built reputations.
Good thing its going to happen then, isn't it. Everyone survives.
Would be depressing. The only player able to fill the void if this were to happen would be Verratti but that's an even more difficult operation than Pogba.
I have already convinced myself he will sign for Madrid so if he signs for them, I won't be as disappointed and if he signs for us, I will be pleased.
