Where is Castles getting his info from? He seems to have updates every day, sometimes more than one a day, on our transfer dealings.
To me, it is just pure speculation on his end. His tweets are basically on the fence.

Everyone was saying last season that LVG had made the squad too small. If Jose is going to address that and, say, increase the size by 4 players - getting rid of 8 means that we need to bring in 12, which seems unlikely!Really it's just confirming what has been said already, that we could be getting rid of 8 and I presume they will be replaced. Four either signed or in the process of signing. The rest might be kids like this Mexican player. Like most I would like another CB.
I suppose it depends who the replacements are, if they are experienced then it will improve us. If the extras are kids, then really we are in the same boat. LvG stripped the squad bare and then padded it out with inexperienced kids.Everyone was saying last season that LVG had made the squad too small. Yeah, hopefully that will be the case.Don't forget though, 4 was the initial plan. There will be others based on sales.

I have just read that as well. It is down to the club now to persuade him. He wants to go to La Liga and might just decide to sit it out at Juve. If that is what's happening we have to move on quickly. That's not what I want to be reading, at all.
Surely drowning your sorrows on a sea of BBC's is not the answer to solve depression?Well, BBC here I come. See you later caf. I'm not sinking further into this abyss.
you're right, a sea of painkillers would be easier on the stomach.Surely drowning your sorrows on a sea of BBC's is not the answer to solve depression?
Well here we go, hold onto your peckers lads
I bet you he was told to keep his mouth shut on this one, especially if he wants that 30 million. Juve don't want it to turn into the Mhiki situation Dortmund had. They don't want to be seen as a selling club and I'm sure they had every intention of keeping him.Well here we go, hold onto your peckers lads
Di Marzio said he has agreed personal terms already,
What sources does this Paul Hirst quote ? If it is new information from Railo then fair enough, the deal might be off, but if he is just recycling old quotes than it is just bullshit.
Do you not see the gaping hole in midfield that needs to be filled with a creative midfielder?I just hope this is true and we go for another midfielder who is more suited to the Carrick role.
Alright, stop right there, there will be no swap deals being done, they only occur in the fevered imagination of the idiot journalist.

That does not sound good at all. I expected Raiola to come out all guns blazing. That's not what I want to be reading, at all.
very good point! But for a broken fax machine, we'd have had a swap deal last season.
I agree its a gaping hole but one which we can still fill (albeit with lesser players like Herrera, Rooney, Fellaini. In that order).Do you not see the gaping hole in midfield that needs to be filled with a creative midfielder?
But for a broken fax machine, we'd have had a swap deal last season. Rare that clubs the scale of United want rid of a player that the buying club can use, but it can happen. Mata makes perfect sense for a Serie A side. He'd be a player of the season candidate there.
We have Schneiderlin to play the deeper role, we have Schweinsteiger to play that role too. Both of these players are far more capable than what they had shown under LVG. Pogba is a far bigger necessity than a Carrick replacement.I agree its a gaping hole but one which we can still fill (albeit with lesser players like Herrera, Rooney, Fellaini. In that order).
However, we don't have anybody to play the Carrick role if he is crocked. We don't have another player who has the intelligence to stay just in front of the defense, intercept passes when we don't have the ball and then distribute the ball when we have possession. Also, at times find runners behind the opposition defense with long passes from deep. Pogba is great at carrying the ball forward but he can't fill Carrick's role which IMO is the least stocked position in the team currently.
What a waste!
