Television Suits

Well if you're expecting a groundbreaking premise for a show you should really look elsewhere. Suits is mostly about the snappy dialogue, stylish presentation and character interaction.

I've watched the first four episodes of this but nothing more. Partly because I cannot find it anywhere online. I've heard it gets better as it goes on but I can't figure out what the appeal is. It seems decent but it doesn't make me laugh, nor do I really have an interest in the plot at this moment. Also lawyer version of LaGuerta annoys me.

She pisses all over LaGuerta. This one is actually intelligent and has been given great lines of dialogues.LaGuerta ??? I don't even wanna go there

I based it purely on them both being Latino women in positions of power.

Latino woman? The only woman in a position of power is black if I remember correctly.

Watched more of the new season and Mike Ross' vagina-ness seems to get even more extreme.

Mike is probably the crappiest character in the show, but he's not an unlikable crappy, he's just ... a harmless necessity to the plot I guess.

Just me being racist then.

Just two episodes left, shame.

Ya, sums it up well. I enjoy the strength of the main characters, each is different and they add something new to the table in each scene. Louis has quickly become my favourite too. It is nothing new, it has been done before but the material is very good I think. I haven't got hooked to anything like this since Arrested Development.

I liked him a bit more in the first season. I understand that he has to be how he is as he needs to display a contrast to Harvey. I just want him go back to outsmart people and not just apply to their heart and soft side.

As for the last 2 episodes, I have a feeling what will come next (inevitable really)

They've done well to manage the character of Mike so far this series, by that I mean he's not getting too much screen time! The support characters are really coming into their own and I think it's making for a better show overall.

Really enjoying this.

Rado_N sucks.

 only just spotted this crafty use of the edit function, you sly sod!

Another very good episode I thought, and yet again the 'coming next week' looks intriguing.

Annoyingly, though, it looks set for an absolute mother of a cliffhanger and there's still no word of when season 3 will start from what I can tell.

Bastards.

Louis has become one of the most sympathetic characters on TV. The character-writing in this show is putting most dramas to shame.

I love this show just as much as I love Breaking Bad, I mean, it's obviously not as good and won't go down as a classic, but there aren't many other TV shows I can watch for 42 minutes, week in week out knowing that I'll like it.

A very good episode this week.

Don't know what's the problem with Mike.
It's a nice contrast to have someone in that industry who actualy gives a crap about anything other than closing the deal.

If there's anybody that I don't really "like" although not necessarily dislike, is Rachel.
Harvey's a bad ass, Donna's just hilarious, really like the character, Louis' character is a really nice addition as well, etc.

Not my favorite show, but it's really good and I don't usualy even watch this kind of shows.

I actually quite like Mike as a character, it's just that in shows like this main character tends to stagnate very quickly as far as development goes. An example is the show 'Chuck' where the main character seemingly had the exact same predictable lines through like seven seasons!

So, as far as I'm concerned, the less I see of Mike, the less likely his (hopefully not happening) stagnation will be. He does act like a massive girl though. :smirk:

If anything, Harvey is now the main character of this show... he's certainly been the focus of this season.

I don't have a problem with Mike, though I much prefer him when he's in genius mode as opposed to 'just another lawyer'.

It's been demonstrated that Harvey cares, even if he'll deny that he does, but the difference between him and Mike is that Harvey is much smarter about when it's okay to do so. In this regard, I feel the show has actually done a decent job in presenting why even if lawyers want to care, it's not their place to do so.

In general Mike is too straight, and I'm not really sure what he's supposed to be, especially when the other main characters are so sharply drawn. The 'genius' side of him isn't really incorporated, the Harvard story has outlived its welcome, and he doesn't have any kind of character arc. In fact, the only character development he's had in two seasons was where (for once) he didn't sacrifice himself to save Harold. I still think it'd be interesting to have him devolve from a guy who cared to much to one who crushes people remorselessly.

I'd say there will be a merger, it seems the right direction to take the show into for season three anyway, it'll introduce a new world of plots after all.

Whichever they do there's no way it'll happen this season.

Did you see the preview for the finale?

Nah I switched off before then, I hate watching previews, they give too much away. Especially since the cliffhanger we were left with at the end of the mid season of TWD was quashed 10 seconds later by the preview for the second half of the season.

fecking Americans.

I usually switch off as I agree, I hate them, but I've caught the last few through a mix of slow reactions and inability to locate the PS3 remote.

Looks interesting and also annoying, I hate cliffhangers when I don't have the next season ready to watch.

Have they even started filming? The mid season break was long enough, I'm expecting a wait of Breaking Bad proportions.

Well it's another sixteen episodes so I'm assuming it should follow the same timeline as season two did, but I'm not sure. I'll be pissed if it's longer than July!

Thought it was an okay episode. Hardman is a prick of the highest order but I'll be a bit disappointed when this storyline is finished, I just love to hate that guy. Mike's story has to end soon though, I don't see how he could possibly remain a lawyer for much longer, and I'm disappointed about this new apparent merger. I want it to happen with Bunk because he's a bad ass.

Pardon me if I come off as "righteous" by saying this, but what exactly is the problem with you people when it comes to Mike? :)
I mean, you may not agree with every aspect of his character, but you've got a lot of different characters, Mike doesn't have to become like another person, he's his own and I for one don't find it impossible to imagine there actualy is a lawyer somewhat like that in terms of personality.

I mean it doesn't bother me, feel what you want to, I just don't get it since a lot of the comments have said something along the lines of "there is no Mike" as in a guy like him doesn't exist/wouldn't make it. Just seems a bit negative :)

Louis and Donna should be the real stars of the show.

Donna is boring as batshit, they should have never brought her back.

Louis on the other hand is pure awesome. Great character.
