Television Suits

The cat trial was stupid and the fight at the end was proper turd. Not often we get a bad episode from Suits so its no big deal.

The fight was pathetic, would have worked far better if he'd just chinned him and laid him out then walked off, the scuffle was schoolboy-esque.

It was pretty obvious for a while that Steven was going to have had more involvement in the murders. I won't be sorry to see him go out of it but it seems like Edward and Nigel will be pushed out too which will be a shame.

Yeah, I'd like to see Steven go - but I'm fond of Edward and Nigel.

The fight was definitely pathetic - really pathetic. However, I didn't mind the cat trial at all. That sort of thing has always had a part in the show, and is definitely in Louis/Nigels' characters - not just that they'd go to such lengths for a cat, but to gain one on the other and help their ego - nah I thought it was believable enough in keeping with the rest of the series, and didn't mind it at all.

It wasn't a very good episode, but an average episode of Suits is still very good idea.

The fight really was crap.

I watched this in-between episodes of Boardwalk Empire, so I didn't feel it was a great episode, but still not bad.

Suits is better than Boardwalk Empire. Very overrated show.

Now, I really like Suits but I find it hard to believe anyone would say this. Boardwalk Empire's story is fairly predictable at times but my word, it's so well made - the writing, the shooting and the acting, best I've ever seen on a TV show. I don't watch many TV shows (Suits and Game of Thrones right now) so maybe I'm not in a position to judge, but Boardwalk Empire is incredible.

Boardwalk bored me, I gave up on it very quickly.

The second and third seasons are a big improvement on the first but I really don't get the hype. Once you get past the big budget sets and 1920's theme, the actual plot is a bit of a mess with far too many dull characters. Steve Buscemi is also a pretty boring lead.

I'll agree with that, but not the rest. I rather like most of the characters, and in general I think it's well written.

It was an ok episode. Cat-trial was just an excuse for Litt to get his department back. Didn't see Steve involved in the murders coming, but felt he did have something to cover. Harvey and Jessica back on-side too. Things dont get drawn out for too long in this.

Bah I hate mid-season breaks! Next weeks is the finale for the summer. Liking the way the show is headed for the 2nd half of this season, think its definitely picked up from the earlier episodes of the season.

"You lost your shit during a negotiation because someone didn't read your letters to their cat?"

That was a really good episode, no real silly side plots (well, apart from the obligatory Mike/Rachel borefest) and it was good to see Louis properly involved again.

Brilliant episode, definitely a high point for the season. Louis' reaction when Harvey told him he respected him and he's a brilliant attorney was just hilarious.

Mid season breaks can feck right off.

Personally I think they're turning Louis into a bit of a joke at this stage, it's like they realized the fans like him so they're adding more and more silly comical aspects to the character.

He's becoming too much of a parody if you ask me.

They could still do quite a bit with the show, it just seems that the writers are becoming lazier by the day. I know they're trying to signify the fast paced lives of attorneys/NY etc, but they're moving on from one story to the next too fast.

The reason season 1 was great wasn't just because of the Style/actors etc, but because they had some "little" cases they worked each episode, whilst in the background, there was always the "bigger" picture about Mike's qualification etc.

now they've just completely gone 360 degrees on that formula.

Bang on. This whole Ava Hessington stuff felt too dragged out and not all that interesting.

I still think it's really enjoyable. The show is more about the quick dialogue than plots.

Agreed, still one of my favourite shows. Witty and smart dialogue.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind the Hessington stuff - if there were other little "plots" happening in the background, but it felt like they were forcing the issue in trying to keep the other characters interesting. Relationships etc. For example, they could have allowed Louis and that ex associate (forgot his name - blond guy who Louis always gave a terribly hard time to!) to go to court and face off, instead of the quick "just be nice to him" Louis explanation etc.

Still very enjoyable though. As Cina said, it is more about the style/dialogue than the plot.

Love the show, dunno what some people are going on about.

The dialogue is great, the references to touchdowns and basketball never get boring.

Makes me wanna become a lawyer now :/

The Mike and Rachel storyline is so far beyond boring it's not even funny.

That cliffhanger was also pretty obvious from about half way through the episode.

Still love the show, but I would have been happier if Rachel was fecking off to California and they found a way to move on from toying around with Mike's secret.
