So long Luis. Would have been nicer if you'd said you left for CL footie or something instead of playing the victim card. Still, thanks for some terrific moments.

PS. There was nothing at all wrong with him diving in front of Moyes. It was a great moment.

He wants to leave not for money, but for his image?

He'll be a racist rodent who dives and bites no matter where he goes. Hope he goes anyway, he's not welcome in the Premier League.

Does anyone think that this whole media thing is just an excuse and a cover for the fact that he actually wants to leave because Liverpool are shit?

From a footballing perspective I really struggle to care that he's going. Liverpool are shit with or without him.

From a broader perspective he's a fecking cnut who I'm glad the country is rid of.

He still hasn't confirmed he wants to leave. Obviously he would want to go to Real if they came knocking but Perez hinted against it, so its far from a foregone conclusion that he's leaving.

Huh?

he literally said he wanted to leave. About an hour ago

Media are responsible for his exit?

On top of everything Luis is comedian as well it seems.

Good ridance for both English football and Liverpool.

Firstly defenders won't have to worry about being stamped by this lunatic while ref isn't watching, or being cheated by his diving. Secondly Liverpool stood by him even when he didn't deserve any support, and he repaid them by doing shit again.

He deserves place in cirkus and that's why Real Madrid is great destination for him, they'll match each other perfectly!

Yes, but it stinks like the Ronaldo "only God knows" crap. Everyone knew he wanted to go without Ronaldo ever saying officially that he wanted to go.

No, he HAS officially said he wants to leave.

He still hasn't confirmed he wants to leave.

Yes he has.

It is a difficult moment for me. My coach and my colleagues know that they [the media] didn't treat me well. Because of the paparazzi I could not go in my garden, I could not go to the supermarket. My reason for leaving is not the money. It's my family and image. I don't feel comfortable here anymore.

That paparazzi claim by Suarez is complete & utter garbage. He was hardly bothered. Does he think there are no photographers in Madrid?

Says Sky Sports. If you read their own article Suarez's general message is the same as the stuff he was saying before (that he's happy to stay, happy to go).

Edit: ok nevermind, I didn't see the "my reason for leaving is not the money. If it were the money I would have left already. My family, my image, that's what matters to me most" part.

Could be a bad translation though.

Suarez is such a cnut. The spotlight in Madrid is far greater than anywhere.

He's trying to worm his way out without upsetting the fans because they buy into the BS victimization crap.

I believe 'Luis Suarez' is just an elaborate piece of performance art, a thesis on the insanity of the modern top football player. His real name is probably Glenn Slattery. He's achieved everything he can with it in England, now all that's left is the drawn out transfer saga and he can move on to Spain, where he can freshen up his act. Maybe he'll do a sex scandal next.

They've turned on their hero.

I was in Sports Soccer in Speke doing a late browse, and a nice blonde bird caught my eye, looking at the trainers. Then some lad comes over in a hoody talking to her with his kids running round, so i just kept browsing at the trainers. Looked up, only to see Luis Suarez.

......

Liverpool statement.

Luis Suarez is not for sale - neither Luis or his representatives have communicated these feelings directly to LFC.

The Club remains supportive of Luis and expect him to honour his contract.

We will not be making any further comment at this stage.

Just seen his press conference
He's played the ultimate victim card. It's all the press fault and he's being bullied out of England. Every single thing he brought on himself from the admitted racist slur to biting Ivanovich. He's actually done well, he's got away with endless achilles rakes and stamps.
