Straylan and Kiwi politics

Who is Craig Kelly? Apparently he wants the help of Uttar Pradesh chief minster Yogi Adityanath's help in fighting covid. Yogi is the man who tried to cover up the 1000s of dead bodies on the river ganges and still says there's no community transmission of covid taking place.

Kelly is a fat, stupid, moronic boomer who lives in a wealthy electorate (a tory safe seat) who before being a politician was a failed furniture salesman.

He also is christan while also selling arms to Azerbaijan muslims

The man is a muppet.

I wouldn't piss on Kelly if his hair was in fire. To think all that DNA being wasted keeping that Jabba operating when we could use it for something more useful like creating a small lump of slime mould on a rock.

65 new cases in NSW with 28 infectious in the community. Hopefully a trend as testing was high. 2 cases in QLD and mask wearing extended. No new cases in Victoria which is great news although there were 10 cases yesterday not all of who were isolating. Good news in general but we aren't out of the woods yet.

Scotty would rather talk about shitting his pants at a maccas than the current situation in Australia

feck the man is an embarrassment.

Victoria goes into a 5 day hard lockdown (are you watching Gladys?) after cases spike to 18 yesterday.

NSW rumoured to have nearly 100 new cases again today. Surely they are going to have to harden the lockdown. It is ludicrous that when only essential businesses are meant to be open that we have tile and lingerie shops (different shops) open because there is no enforceable definition of what an essential service is.

A good artitcle of where we are at. And change the e in feck to a u to get the article

First day of the harsher lockdown. Made the mistake of walking part of the Bay Run (a bayside walk on the harbor). Packed but with fewer than 10% wearing masks. Not legally required but with so many people out and about it would have been sensible. Runners I can understand but if walking?

Topped off with some bogan Karen cyclist nearly colliding with 2 x walkers wearing headscarf. The cyclist was in the wrong as they were in the walking lane and not the cycling lanes but it shouldn't be a big deal as confusion occurs. Bogan Karen rides off shouting incoherent abuse then circles back to try to make it physical. She cycled through the girls but buggered off when my wife stepped in front of the bike and told her to sod off - followed by the expected "why don't you feck off where you come from". The most disturbing bit for me was that when we and others checked that they were OK the girls thanked us and felt the need to justify themselves by telling us that they were born in Australia. I'm not but I'd not cop such abuse in the same circumstances. On the up side we weren't the only people to step in and the people who helped truly represented multicultural Australia. So the best and worst of Australia.

NSW 98 cases with 20 in the community. Slightly better and the stringer lockdown won't help for a few days yet. So not terrible news I guess.

Its weird isnt it, essentially she was hired because she is a massive racist and then gets fired for being disruptive. I wonder who did the hiring and firing.

The production company Endemol Shine hired her. I suspect Channel 7 freaked out when she started her conspiracy theory nonsense from hotel quarantine and told the production company to get rid. Why the NSW government supported her granting of a visa is beyond me.

Katie has been escorted to the airport, fined $1000 for a breech of a public health order and deported.

In rather odd news the mother-of two of the removalists who carried on working and spread covid to rual NSW was found dead at home of - you guessed it - covid.

  • NSW have 98 new cases with 20 in the community - not terrible and hopefully the start of a downward trend.
  • NSW had its 5th death - the mother of two of the removalists who broke public health orders
  • Victoria has 13 new cases and won't end its lockdown
  • SA has 3 cases linked to a returnee from Argentina via NSW and will enter a (hopefully) short lockdown

Wibble are these state wide lockdowns or just city specific in each state?

Parts of regional NSW now going in to a 7 day lockdown. Presumably as a result of those removalists who travelled despite knowing they were infected. They have now been charged and a prison sentence seems likely. Their mother died of covid yesterday after refusing to be moved to a hospital. Wise decisions seem to not be this families strength.

NSW 110 cases yesterday - worse still 43 were in the community for the whole of their infectious period and 17 for part of the time. Predominantly in SW Sydney which is good in that 3 LGA's there are under very severe lockdown (so hopefully we will see big improvements here soon) but bad news as the infections are spilling over into surrounding LGA's with similar profiles.

Victoria has 22 new cases but 16 were fully isolating so maybe they have it close to under control.

Brisbane awarded the 2032 Olympics.

Sydney 2000 was brilliant so hopefully this will be as good.

SA and Vic seem to be making great progress but NSW had 124 cases and 70 of them were at least partly infectious out in the community. Half are also not linked to existing cases that either means there is significant infection out there that we don't know about or contact tracing is lagging due to being overwhelmed.

I wasnt able to get to the 2000 effort, this however i will be able to do. Cant wait.

I couldn't afford to go to Sydney despite only being in North Queensland but it was bloody brilliant. The country was buzzing.

I reckon they’re going to start segregating Sydney at this stage. You’re going to see the city cut off at certain points and other parts reopening.

This was always the fear with Western Sydney, knowing full well that there are parts where multiple families are living in 80sqm apartments due to the cost of living.

I think we will see a curb in the next couple of days as a result of the weekend, but something will have to change soon.

53 of the 136 new NSW infections were in the community. More SW/W Sydney LGS's going into full lockdown.
10 or 11 of 14 new Victoria infections were in the community but all were at least partially isolating which is great news.
SA only had 1 new case
