My bad, I did forget Billy but, I was thinking of a character that is one of the 'good guys', someone that we mourn.Billy?

Billy was absolutely awesome, despite being a villain, that was a massively tragic death as far as show goes for me.My bad, I did forget Billy but, I was thinking of a character that is one of the 'good guys', someone that we mourn.
The Demogorgon is also a great antagonist. When it comes out of the wall after Joyce talked with Will via the lights is a great sceneStarted a rewatch the other day, surprised at how good the first season is. None of the cheesiness of later seasons and such brilliant pacing and plotting, the whole deep state thing is really great and Eleven is a fantastic character that season, as are all the kids (except for Lucas who's pretty annoying that season). Season 4 still second-best.
A great villain played very well but I wanted him to die because he was a cnutBilly was absolutely awesome, despite being a villain, that was a massively tragic death as far as show goes for me.
If Max died in 'that scene' it would have been brilliant! Not because she died but because they built the whole thing up to tug at the heart strings. She ran towards to light looking like she would make it only to get squashed.
Also, a program that kills a main character (Bob & Babs not included) keeps us on our toes knowing that someone central to the story could die at any moment. A little like TWD when Negan killed Glen. It gave him a terrifying presence whenever he was on screen.
Anyway, an altogether great series and a great show in general.
Yeah, i dont get it either. Game of Thrones doing it was shocking because of how uncommon it was (with each death having less impact). If every show does it, it stops being surprising and loses most of its value. Your just killing off good characters.I don't really get the argument that they need to kill off major characters anyway. Stranger Things is meant to be fun entertainment for (sort of) anyone in their teens or above. It's not the sort of show that needs to kill big characters for shock value. It's not a gritty/adult show like The Wire or Game of Thrones!
Exactly. A friend of mine thinks it's gonna be a bloodbath towards the end of the series, but there's just no way. This show has never been about that, nor has it needed it. Apparently they were gonna kill Steve off in season one but he was too popular, I don't buy that though as the season was complete before it dropped on Netflix.Think people need to realise Stranger Things was never a show that would rely on killing off characters and has never paraded as that type of show. Game of thrones and walking dead from the very first season set the tone for main characters dying, stranger things was never that and even when they did it they showed the character still alive at the end of the episode. I think episode 4 was all the more impactful because of the decision to keep the character alive. Its a credit to the show that it doesn't need to rely on characters dying or change the tone of the show to one where every character is at risk of dying. I for one enjoy it for what it is.
The problem with that is she's also one of the few actors in the show worth watching so in creating whatever shock or impact you also run the risk or ultimately worsening the whole show by taking out one of the better characters. Game of Thrones is a perfect example of how that strategy completely ruined the show. Through the first four seasons they basically one after another kept killing not only the most important characters in the show but also who were played by the best actors and while those moments were impactful, the remaining seasons ended up as absolute unwatchable garbage because the ones left couldn't act to save their lives.
Imagine watching the remainder of this show with only Will and Mike going on about whatever the feck they've been going about. No thanks. I'd rather have the ones that actually make the show watchable.

Max for me.

Basically I would stop watching if they killed off Steve Harrington.
One continuity error I did notice, Susie's dad's pc immediately booted up when they turned the electricity back on. I mean....
And eventually (for me anyway) Got relied too much on it, so it became just for the shock value of 'OMGZ Look what Main Character we killed!' without actually having a decent story/reason for them to be killed
There is one more season yet to come though! Also the oars/flashlight in the upside down when they had to swim through the portal didnt make sense. Also I'm 99% sure the code on he PC was C# which wasn't invented until like 2000.
Minor issues in a fantastic series/season though.
The 2nd part of the series only has 2 episodes though. That kind of sucks !

Max’s scene was great, but I’m a bit confused about why it’s sparked such interest in the song. It’s always been a banger. Did so many people really not know about it?
Feature length episodes though. Ep8 is 1hour 25 and ep 9 finale is 2 hours 30.The 2nd part of the series only has 2 episodes though. That kind of sucks !

It was a decent season. I know it’s always had it’s oddballs, but I don’t remember it being quite as ridiculous as it is now. Seems like every other character is a lunatic now. The main group fighting Vecna was the only real interest for me. The Russia stuff was a bit stupid, as was the California arc. Stranger Things is at its best when it retains that creepiness and mystery.
Well yeah, it’s not my generation’s music and all my mates love that tune and have done since we’ve been in our early 20s. Many people love 80s music. You're wondering why a song released 37 years ago wasn't popular with younger people? It's a great song, for sure, but most generations prefer "their own" music. Hell, this one is older than most millennials, let alone the zoomers.

It’s hardly a requirement to be from said generation to know one of the biggest songs from that time.
