Can see us sneaking a 1-0 result in a crappy game. Won't be enough to save LVG
A win today will definately give LvG some valuble time. Then he can manage a draw against Chelsea and get some signings in in January, and save his career.

A loss would result in increased pressure ahead of the game against a rejuvenated Chelsea team.

So a draw it is today then?

Did they play well against City then? Heard a few people refer to this game.

I don't mind watching Stoke these days. Bojan is a cracking player.
They played a really good game against City and yeah they're a very good team to watch. Shaqiri, Bojan and Affelay are very good, and Arnautovic is a dickhead but is talented when he can be arsed.

Stoke are a decent side. Carrick and Schneiderlin have to both start imo. Only room for one of Herrera/Mata.

Play our best available team, we are UTD we do not need to adjust to nullify the opposition, the opposition should adjust for us.

With Hughes too, they can still mix it as well as play good stuff with the ball on the ground. That feckhead Charlie Adam for instance. fecking hatchet man.

They were fantastic in that game. Shaqiri was on fire.

I'm looking forward to this game, not what you'd call confident though.

That's all well and good, but we happen to be abysmal at the moment. Nothing wrong with respecting your opposition's strengths in a situation like this. Fergie did it all the time.

The most surreal aspect of LVG reign is this match rhythm nonsense. a 2 week layoff turns to 5 weeks because he missed a few training sessions. Lets see if they suddenly have this match rhythm when the teams are announced.

Except for our captain and worst player

tactics. what are they again ?

No he didnt. He won every game 5-0 playing 442 wide remember.

Yep, they have really transformed themselves and Bojan and Affelay (two former Barca players) at Stoke is surrealistic.

Losing to a physical long ball playing Stoke team is one thing, being outplayed by Stoke is even more humiliating.

Hopefully its 433 with Herrera. Means Martial on the wing and Rooney upfront unfortunately.

Twitter rumours that our team is

    De gea
    Young Jones Smalling Blind
    Carrick Fellaini
    Mata Herrera Memphis
    Martial

Hmmmm. Interesting, aside from Fellaini/Schneiderlin that looks pretty good to me.

He's dropped Rooney? A Christmas miracle!

I'm hoping it's Herrera next to Carrick with Fellaini further up. Would prefer Morgan for Fellaini though.

It would have to be because Fellaini is useless there. I would prefer Ander in a more creative positon with as you say Morgan helping Michael.

Fellaini in midfield is always a recipe for disaster, shame that cos with Schneidi instead of him that was a good team.
    Exactly my thoughts.

LvG is probably thinking Fellaini could help out defensively and is a bigger goal threat.

Think this team could work. Similar to the one that played so well in that spell last season.
