Start Diego with Ruud and bring on Ole after 65 mins

Diego didn't score for the reserves over 90 minutes the other night.

Of course he will score goals eventually, but is he ever going to be prolific??

Why risk points?

He should get his 90 minutes in midfield, where at least he won't be under pressure, and take it from there.

Why do you still insist to play him in midfield? We bought him because we lack striker/forward, and our midfield is full now. It's just like saying that "We must give 90 minutes to Forlan (for no reason), but he can't play well in forward, so let's try to play him in midfield". It is meaningless, and we should also consider:
1. Who'd you drop in midfield in order to play Forlan, Beckham? Giggs?
2. What will players like Chadwick, Stewart and Fortune think, if the boss prefer to turn a forward into a midfielder rather than giving chance to our own young midfielders from the reserve?

Perhaps, the same question can be asked : " Who would be dropped between the fowards to accomodate Forlan? " Ruud, Ole?

If you say the strikers are not firing, I'd say it'll be worse with Forlan on, & I'd also say equally that the midfielders have not been performing!

Only players on form should be playing & experimenting only shud come into play when the stakes are not so high.

& even if Forlan were bought as a striker, he can be converted into an attacking midfielder ala Sherigham or Cantona or Scholes for that matter!

As Livvie has said, the pressure won't be as great playing in a withdrawn role.

There is not such problem as whether to drop Ruud or Ole. Ole is not starting in every match anyway.

And I think we have a misunderstanding in terminology. I consider Cantona and Sheringham as "forwards", not "attacking midfielders".

Same as Ole thinks when he gets dropped for an unfit midfielder probably.
