Rookie mistake. Keep your best stuff on you at all times, backup sets go in storage.

All my gear stored on the ship has disappeared. 40 hours of a play through worth. Lovely.

Doesn't it autosave every 10 minutes automatically? Your last save couldn't have been 40 hours ago. I've not done any ship modding, but sure I saw your stuff was automatically moved to cargo or something.

The looting is one of the things that put me off the game. So much effort having to focus on what to pick up, what to leave, what to drop etc. saying that I’m playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and I’m finding similar there but to a lesser extent.

Maybe these sorts of games aren’t just for me anymore. Ironic after the amount of times I’ve played Witcher 3.

Just level up the carry-weight perks early on.

Same. A lot of travelling to different planets just to have a chat with someone, just feels a bit grindy even by open world RPG standards.
The best way around this I find is to stay on that planet for a while and explore it, that's cuts down on the tedium of travelling just to talk to someone, nearly all the planets with people on them have loads to do if you look around it.

Just learned you can sell planet survey data to a few people which is cool. Might start doing that

It does, but you go hours without going to your ship, so you could have your ship inventory gone on all the autosaves.
Space plates are are b@stards.

Didnt realise the 'red' next to inventory items are stolen items. Also found a contraband item in New Atlantis. I have the Razorleaf ship and I stored most of my shit in the hold to reduce weight so I can loot more in Akila, I went to Akila City as planned for main mission with Sam Coe, came up a 59% chance of getting caught in the security scan and thankfully I was detected. Dont want to lose all my shit this early

Saw a funny glitch where an important NPC was suddenly discovered to have dropped dead much to the astonishment of the streamer who said "Wait what?! they can die?! but...he was always immortal when I shot him in the face" . Turns out it was just another Bethesda glitch. I expect they'll be some Cybepunk style compilations of all the glitches on Youtube at some point.

Take a trip to Red Mile in Porrima III and buy shielded cargo for your ship off Lon.

To be honest I’m tempted to drop this and play other game pass games instead as I’ve got a couple more weeks with the Xbox. Ori I’ve already been playing and it’s wonderful but there’s Hifi Rush and then I think Lies of P will soon be out.

First 25 hours were fine but the general blandness is wearing me down. The UC quest line hasn’t been good enough thus far.

For all the people who replied on my ‘lost my loot’ post - I’m an idiot and it was all on my 1st ship.

Any idea how to get rid of all the blue way points? I want to find the place I'm looking for, not follow the hundreds of random quests I've been given by simply running past someone.

My Razorleaf ship has one already. I think my problem for the 59% chance of evading scanners was not all my items are stored in the cargo hold, I have shit just dropped in the ship areas - so likely I have a good shot of Ammo definitely robbed from somewhere.

I also have Sarah and Vasco carrying shit for me, will take me ages to sort it for feck sake

Did anyone see that glitch that lets you under the ground of the buildings of New Atlantis

You can rob all the underfloor safes and make like 100k every 24 hours in-game

I’d rather know how to rob those safes legit

I don't see myself ever completing this game. The side quests are so compelling and vast.

On PC the performance is awful. I said previously at least the launch is better than Fallout 76, but having now bought the game and trying it with latest drivers etc its actually worse than my experience of Fallout 76 on Launch which looked pretty good but had some framerate dropping. Starfield has lots of lagging and minifreezing despite looking very ordinary. Its pretty shoddy that they havent immediately fixed these harsh performance issues within the first days of release

Same here. Was hoping last days patch + new nvidia driver made it better but nope. Those minifreezes and stuttering during dialogues and fecking loading time (!) to pop up the mission tab or inventory just make it ridiculously annoying. Think I‘ll leave it be for now and come back in half a year or so and have a look if they fixed the fundamentals.

I want to update CPU and GPU, which served me some good years now, so I don‘t have a high end rig by far but as you say, it doesn‘t even look impressive. Can see it being some good fun with mods though (you may want to check some out if you haven’t already. There are great ones that vastly improve on performance and look, unfortunately not with the minifreezes).

Yeah it just really takes you out of anything you might be enjoying and with all dialogue, entering areas with new pcs and menus all taking twice as long because of the freezing you're essentially getting half as much done making it far less enjoyable.

I'm going to reinstall Star Citizen tomorrow I think, I'm pretty sure it runs better and is visually and technically (trying to do more at once) more impressive which is crazy

You can go into quests and unselect them can’t you.

FFS, how have been playing this for 12 hours and not noticed this?! So much less chaos on the screen now.

I've not had a single issue on PC. I'm running it in 4k ultra, but only at 60fps. Not sure if this is because I'm using an AMD card.

Game is optimised for AMD GPUs so that adds up.
