Spurs officially departed tonight

They will finish outside of top 4 I'm sure of it, what Kane/Son are producing now of the scraps while working like maniacs in defense is not sustainable at all. They'll snowball down the table pretty quickly once these ugly tactics stop producing the results and players get fed up/lose confidence.

Jose was the wrong coach for United. You had been the dominant force of English football since 90s so had DNA of winning stuff. That DNA is lacking at Spurs. Jose can tell to Kane, Son and other Spur players that you lot have won nothing. I am double Champions League Winner and won league titles. I will show you how it is done and Spurs player will listen to him. His issue is that he no longer competing against foolish English managers. There is more tactical diversity in present day English Football. His tactics will only get you top four finish.

Number of leagues total they're 19 and we're 20. I'm pretty sure people and neutrals usually care more about this number than the number of Premier Leagues alone excluding the titles before it. Do you remember the celebration for our 18th and 19th title ?

And yes, if they win their 20th title and equaled our all time record in less than a decade after SAF retired it'll be a disaster for me. Feel free to not feel otherwise, though.
You specifically stated PL.

It will not be a disaster, it's a game. I lived through all the barren years after Sir Matt, don't worry, you'll survive.

Just meant a shortcut to say the league, sorry if you understood it otherwise.

Delusional. Providing Kane and Son stay fit, Spurs will comfortably finish top 4. Its entirely dependant on the fitness if those 2 though.
Nah, you’re the one who’s not seeing it, if Kane/Son don’t create out of nothing on their own and don’t score from their only chances in the game Spurs will always be in trouble with they way they’re setup. There’s really nothing about them bar those two and Jose’s tactics will only make it worse anyway. Not sustainable what they were doing in the first quarter of the season.

I am so happy they have started to lose. The amount of finger pointing Jose would have targeted at United would have been more than Liverpool winning another title.

Big problem here is just over a third of a season gone with Kane and Son in GOAT form.....and they've still dropped 17 points.

I think they're a low 70s team based on how they've done so far but if they continue with this trend on course to drop 50 points over the season so that's mid 60s which is only a few more points than they finished on last season. Probably won't even get top 4 with 65 points.

And then you have to factor in added fatigue, more focus on europa if league form falters and one of Kane or Son getting an injury which has happened in previous seasons.

Even in this season you can't seriously challenge for a league dropping 17 points after barely a third of it has passed.

What does this even mean? You would rather Liverpool win another title than have Jose 'finger point' at Utd? What finger pointing?

Not sure why the media were getting carried away with Spurs being top in November.

Yes, they beat Citeh and Arsenal but those two sides are out of form. What was really telling was how poor they were against West Brom and lacked composure at Palace. Mou needs to work on his A game tactics.

Personally, having Mourinho point out that our ownership are awful and he wasn't backed, is far more tolerable than that lot winning a fcking throw in.

Yeah. Liverpool and United's rivalry will always exist.

Klopp not winning a title this year doesnt make a difference this year when they have a good chance of winning one next year or even in a decades time.

Why do I want Spurs to win it for the first time though? I found Spurs okay before but definitely not under Jose, he has a personality that is everything my personality says no against, both in terms of football and general wellbeing. I cant stand him especially when he has 'his way is right' and 'everyone else's way is wrong' settled down at a club. That would have just been shed back up at us, especially when he said achieving 2nd with us was his best achievement or some bullshit like that.

Anyone who saw their games against WBA and Burnley would've known they are nothing special once you crowd Kane and Son.

Let me get this right, you would rather Liverpool win a title than Jose win one with another team? Are you a Man Utd fan? I'm struggling to understand the mentality here honestly. That's like me wanting Chelsea or Arsenal to win the league! What sort of fan are you??

I love how the thread title is more popular than the thread it's title was a piss take of.

You really want Liverpool to win a title instead of Spurs? WTF.

Spurs winning would be fitting. Would show how far us and Arsenal have fallen. Pool won it last season, Spurs winning this season. Very fitting.

If it was Pochettino I would rather have you guys win it. Liverpool are the best club in the Premier league - whether I want them to win it or not makes no difference in what will happen, they will most likely win the league because they are good - however i had a particular reason i didnt want Spurs to win the league this year and that's because of Jose - i didnt like him even before he became he became our manager, he was one of our rival managers at Chelsea and he is an evil man to our club. I really dislike him. I dont want Liverpool to win the league, but they will most likely win it. I do not want Spurs to win it as well and I am so glad that is starting to look like that isnt happening (I'm still not 100%, that how much Jose annoys me).

If you neutralise Kane, they have nothing. We will finish above them, I am sure of it.

A Man Utd who would rather Liverpool win the league than another team in the league. I've heard it all now. I thought Liverpool were your oldest and most bitter rivals? Crazy.

They were completely outclassed today, Leicester let them off the hook so many times with bad decisions in the last half hour and Spurs looked utterly clueless. A team built around a load of work horses trying to stop the opposition and relying on 2 brilliant forwards isn't going to work over the course of a season.

Mourinho's still well past his best, he's been flattered so far by the drop off of the other big clubs. He came back to Chelsea and he was up against Moyes, AVB/Sherwood, Rodgers, Pellegrini and Wenger then he came to United and suddenly he got exposed because he was against Guardiola, Klopp, Conte, Pochettino and Wenger. He's now up against 3 managers with underwhelming CV's, a stale Guardiola and Klopp and it's made him look better. Any United fan who would rather Liverpool won the league than Spurs, even managed by him, is off their head though.

We've been in a difficult position in the past few years tbf.

I mean, we've had to root for City for the past few years. Difficult choices.

But Liverpool though? Surely that's a step too far for a Utd fan. Or so I thought wow. I'm honestly shocked.

It's even more baffling when their next title is # 20.

You have to love the unpredictability of a lot of football.

Tottenham a genuine contender being rammed down our throats - Jose achieving so much more than Solskjaer in half the time etc.
Then we can get a win to go above them even after our shocking home form!

Still have to win it though - and right on cue Sky showing it's our second worst home start since 1930!

Liverpool or Spurs was never a valid option, Spurs are not title contenders.

Well I for one think it's a shame. Would have been great for Jose to beat the Scousers in the league, Rodgers just isn't the guy to do it for me, so it looks like it's up to us to overhaul Liverpool now which I'm not exactly confident about.

Who do you support? Just curious? Because you definitely don't look like a united supporter.

But if it's a choice between Liverpool and Mourinho... is the cyanide capsule an option?

jose every day of the week. How he ended his time at United was shocking, but he is still likeable (or at least entertaining, unlike his football), especially as he’s not a rival anymore.

Good thing they got extra points for that 6-1 win or they’d be below us in the table. Oh, wait.

I'd take a Spurs premier league win over Liverpool any day. As long as it is not pool or Baldiola.
