Spurs 2018/19

I don't see how he so easily gets away with trying to make out that he didn't want signings in the summer and then moaning about fatigue and squad depth.

If you're going to try take ownership of that decision then you have to take the blame too

Korea going out to Qatar which means Son should be back soon
That's surprising, weren't they trying to naturalize average foreign players a few years ago so they would not look ridiculous at the World Cup ?
Looking at their line-up, there's only that Pedro Miguel fella who would fall in that category.

The whole 'we didn't need signings' line was just because he didn't want to take the Jose route of moaning in the press so in public he said he was happy with his squad.

I'm almost certain it wasn't his decision to not make signings, we very clearly needed at least one in midfield. He just didn't get the financial backing and his way of dealing with that is to make do rather than push hard for signings.

I think he definitely wanted new signings.

It's just when it became obvious they weren't getting any players he acted like an adult and a professional, unlike a certain ex Utd manager from Portugal, and got on with things.

Wondering what the local Spurs fans think of the reported €20m Rabiot bid, given his comments about the club earlier in the window.

If they lose at Palace tomorrow, that will complete a thoroughly miserable week all round for Spurs. Silver lining in Son coming back earlier than expected from the Asian Cup, but they have some really big fixtures coming up to negotiate without Kane and Alli this month.

Can't see it happening for numerous reasons anyway. Doesn't he have offers on the table from the likes of Barca?

Barcelona signed De Jong, unclear if they now still want him. Rabiot wants €10m net a year and €10m signing on fee apparently at end of season on free transfer. Can't imagine he'd take less now.

Fair enough.

Doesn't seem the kind of player we'd usually go for tbh, but you never know. We clearly desperately require quality in the middle of the park so we can't be fussy about an off hand comment.

So much for spurs 'competing' on four fronts. Too bad the CL is next month

All that's happening is what everyone expected. You can't expect to lose players and not add to the squad at all and expect to improve.

The Spurs 11 has been vastly under invested in for years now, and has relied on being fortunate with injuries and also Pochettino's ability to blood young players and improve average ones.

When are they gonna start losing like this in the league, where we really need them to

So Pochettino has confirmed that the realistic of Tottenham is always been being consistent in getting top 4 and play in champions league. We can finally put the discussion or argument to the bed about Tottenham’s aim is to challenge the league or winning trophy or Pochettino is building his squad to the glory or something on those line.

Yeah, even if they had their entire first team out, they should still just win it, like a boss. That's what a real team would do. Fecking losers.

Yesterday they loaned out three players and have also sold Dembele in January, but:

Like a new signing. Hasn't played for them since pre-season.

He is turd, Poch has to say something to try and motivate him to try and not be turd, my opinion is he will be just as turd as ever.

He obviously doesn't actually want to sign nobody. Just defending his club. It's perfectly fine.

A week ago, we were talking about finishing ahead of them. Now they are possibly four points off top spot.

Not drawing a single game all season in the league is astonishing. Don't think enough has been made of that tbh, they've lost more games than Arsenal.
