My impression is that Berbatov plays better with owen or hernandez than with rooney. From here till january we will have a chance to see whether we need a new forward or not - i think that berbatov and hernandez will be ok.

midfield will be a top priority imo

Not really sure whether we're better off signing a striker or midfielder tbh. Probably the latter, if anything. When Rooney fecks off the blow would be softened considerably if we had someone as talented as he is in the centre of the park. At the moment we have noone that even comes close.
