South Africa vs India

50 test match hundreds for Tendulkar

Greatest ever

There won't be anyone like him in a long, long time.

His record won't be broken....

Who else is going to have a 20 year test career, in this day of T20 and ODI cricket? The guy closest to him looks like he needs to retire before he ruins his reputation(Ponting), while Sachin keeps going and going and going....

A bit like the Energizer bunny

Brilliant from Sachin - incredible player, greatest batsman of all time.

Steyn's bowling really well, the delivery to take Dhoni's wicket was well bowled.

Ah now for the collapse. Yet trail by 33. Need to survive today and hope for a massive storm tomorrow.

Storm coming from nowhere, players go off

Sachin is a true legend. In my opinion he is better than Bradman. I just hope rain saves India tomorrow. I hope they don't lose.

damn Steyn.

At least we're going down fighting. I really feel we got done by the weather in this match.

Greatest ever
Indeed.

Small part of me wants him to retire playing like this now rather than lose form and do it in year or so.

Problem is it's all set up for him to try and win a world cup for us next year. And I can't see us doing well personally, and at his age I'm not sure he'll be able to handle the pressure we're going to put him under.

Greatest ever

I think this is now a fair statement. Even surpasses the late great Don Bradman.

What is possibly even more astonishing than 50 test centuries (50!!!:eek:) is that 2010 is the best years he has ever had ... he is in the best form of his life.

Utterly and simply amazing. Along with SAF, the greatest person involved in world sport today.

Gambhir's injured, damn..

:(

Great. I don't think Vijay will be able to survive on SA Pitches.

If Dhoni loses another toss, he should be sacked

Seriously, his luck is awful in regards to tosses.

Toss in 10 mins after a bit of rain delay. Match starts in 40..

Fingers crossed Gambhir and Pujara start.

Lost the toss again.

Gambhir, Raina, Unadkat out
Vijay, Pujara, Zaheer in

Steyn fantastic as usual. Two great deliveries to get rid of the openers.

Lunch 74/2.

Steyn is a fecking beast. Absolutely sensational bowling so far, today.

I fecking hate Steyn

Does he ever lessen his intensity when bowling?

Watching the highlights of the day's play, Steyn bowled beautifully - as well as Anderson's done in Australia, Steyn is on another level.

Highlights never do good bowling spells justice, IMO.

His over culminating in Dravid's dismissal was almost poetic.

I'd love to see him win a World Cup, if anyone deserves it for being sheer class its him.

The fact that this Indian team reached no. 1 in the world highlights the lack of quality in world cricket right now.

Still no amazing bowler, it'd be like Brazil not producing a single decent defender. Even that's an understatement given the gulf in resources between India and other cricketing nations is nothing like anything in football.

I know I'm having a moan here but the skies clear up just when it's time for South Africa to bat.. bloody annoying

Do you know anything about Cricket?
Zaheer Khan is world class while Bhajji is better than decent.

India fully deserved their no.1 ranking

I thought we did but the way SA are ripping us apart, I'm not so sure.

amol, I remember you having a bit of chuckle when I said Steyn's world class and would be in any era.. I hope you're seeing him bowl now

205 all out

unless our 3 bowlers are channeling Steyn, we're going to be down 2-0 very soon

I'm watching this off and on so I can't really say, my zest for cricket is pretty low these days :(

But it's a good thing if he is, for world cricket. I mean, in todays game, Zaheer is one of the very best, which is strange given that the best 10 years back were the likes of Mcgrath, Warne, Ambrose, Akram etc who were all all-time greats.
