Yeah they would England players have done it in the past.
Looks over for England in this test series 1-1 its a good result in SA also with a series win in the ODI.

Shame, a rather tame end to an otherwise excellent series...England havnt really competed in this test which is the sad part, from ball 1 weve been on the back foot....Looks like my early prediction of this not lasting past 4 days was also correct...unfortunatly 
Oh well i suppose on the balance of the series you cant say South Africa dont deserve to draw, we held on twice in two very tight test matches to deny them victory with a clear easy win in between....Theyved hammered us in this one so a draw is probably about right....Still frustrating though feels like weve rather given this away.
Will say Pietersens been an absolute disgrace in this series mind!

Your lot are too hard on Pietersen. He's struggled for form, so what? Pietersen has the same number of runs as Strauss. I don't see anyone giving Strauss any stick.
2 reasons, one strauss has carried our batting at times single handedly for the last 18 months to 2 years averaging over 50, his batting was the main reason we scored the runs we did to even have a chance in the ashes never mind win it....hes been Mr consistent with the bat for the last 2 years....and two Pietersen has a hell of alot more talent than Strauss and is by far the king batsmen in our team hence he has a responsibility to score big runs, much like Kallis for South africa, Ponting for Australia, Sangakara for Sri Lanka, Tendulka for India etc the best player needs to lead frrom the front, you dont see these guys go an entire series batting like Pietersen has here, Kallis has shown what big players do in this series scoring 2 centurues....Pietersen has just looked woeful and its not good enough, he needs to sit down and sort himself out.
Its because hes such a talent we expect so much more and for him to go through 4 test matches (8 innings) an entire test match series and score 1 mesely 50 is just not good enough.
