Can’t believe it turns 20 next year.
It seems longer ;)

I was never a huge fan and their 4 or 5 good tunes have been so overplayed everywhere I've become very bored with them.

My wife went to see them just before Christmas (I declined) and she was very disappointed. Charismaectomy. Concert by numbers.

This sounds more like ignorance where you've stopped exploring new music as you got older and are only considering things that get popular. A bunch of stuff created by people like Steven Wilson in the last decade or so isn't just on par but fecking towering above a bunch of stuff that got popular in the 70s or whatever. Maybe stop putting the same five albums on repeat and try something new.
Not as bad as most recent music but Wilson is still very bland.

Has to be a Fleet Foxes song. I’ll come back when I’ve decided which one.

Mr Brightside tends to be polarising.

A lot of people love it, but so many are utterly sick of hearing it. It’s a bit of an anthem though that pretty much every one can sing along to.
It’s a fairly good song. Marty Casey’s version was better than the Killers who weren’t a great band.

What’s this Steve Wilson’s claim to song of the century?

Agreed, great song.
I mean without being disrespectful to a bunch of other legendary bands that contributed heavily to that era, if you had to pick one band that defined that era which is one of the greatest metal eras ever, it is pretty much them and as insane it is to pick one album let alone one of their songs, you'd generally end up going HT and from that, it is likely going to be that as their signature track.

So that pretty much objectively answers the thread title.

Being a part of that album's live tour will remain as one of the most incredible experiences of my lifetime.

Love them to bits. But for me this is the one:

Also quality. I love YHIM due to the connection to both the TV show & movie ‘Friday Night Lights.’

It's quite obviously Mr Brightside by the Killers.
Been in the top 100 constantly since its release, near enough everyone knows it, still gets played by every generation, is a true modern classic which will last decades.

Certainly not my favourite tune in the world but looking at it subjectively it's hard to make a case against it.

 No just witnessing them live at the time it came out.
Ah OK. I misunderstood. Yeah, I have only watched live versions in YouTube and it still seems amazing. I imagine live is an experience that it makes you indeed part of it.

Not sure if serious.
I quite enjoyed it. Admittedly being a darned old fashioned English speaking Neanderthal I'd like to know the words so I can sing along. They seem great fun live.

But ultimately I couldn't help wondering why I wasn't seeing an anime intro. :wenger:

Haha Imagine Dragons is a guilty pleasure of mine. You know how songs reminds us of a certain point in our lives? I used to listen to this a lot when I was at my lowest of lows so it has a special meaning to me. It reminds me that I can get through almost anything.

You know imagine dragons are bad when the meme parody edits of their songs are better than the originals
