We need a player who can work in the first build up phase in midfield. The only one in the squad who can do that currently is Mainoo. Eriksen can to an extent but he has his issues (lacks legs and intensity)

I don’t even think Amrabat is the answer, but we should have spent the Mount money in that type of midfielder

Yeah I understand your point...pressure is building on poor Mainoo and Hojlund.

I would suggest playing a more pragmatic approach and sitting back for a few games, especially when there is no fit CF in the squad. Maybe a formation change.

Depends… if we really want to shore our midfield up and stop teams from walking through us then I’d be tempted to go 4-3-1-2/ 4-4-2 narrow diamond.
