Still vastly short of challenging, and the last few weeks have felt calamitous. However we would have signed two midfielders, a world class (IMO) goalkeeper and a striker.

All by design on Utd's part. They know the fanbase is hungry for another decent signing and have delayed until deadline day hoping we fall for it.
 
We got Berbatov and Rooney on deadline days. I don’t know why clubs leave it as long as they do outside of one big game of chicken and who blinks first.

If he’s here he has to be an option sadly, I agree though I’d prefer him not playing. For that partnership to play any match Varane, Lindelof, Martinez and Shaw will all have to be injured at the same time. At that point I wouldn’t worry about who does play. :D

I don't get this flying around to put offers in, with all the technology available now a days. If anything, it makes you look desperate as walking away empty handed would lose face.
