So, this leak...

The other day, in one of their round-up articles, an F365 writer wrote something like: 'Let's make this clear - there is no anti-Moyes bias at F365'...but even rival fans replied that there is a bias; that says it all.

Whatever it is, I dislike how open it is. It's another thing about Ferguson I miss. His total control of the media and keeping things inside the club.

When Fergie left he said the place was like a sieve with information leaking out. He wasn't too happy about his retirement being leaked out IIRC.

Likewise, just leaking line-ups seems relatively pointless - I can't imagine there's much to gain from it

Is a big deal and I'm sure the management will be furious, gives the opposition insight and lets them make last min changes to their team. In this day and age despite what fans think tactics play a big part and the last thing you want is for the opposition to have that advantage.

I'm convinced it's Rooney.

It's Moyes himself trying to create a siege mentality.

has he actually got the full team, or just saying Ferdinand's back in?

That is hardly amazing news, the week after Moyes says he's still in his plans, and with a harder game at a much more advanced stage of the other cup on Tuesday

Its rio, everyone knows!

He has nothing to lose by pissing off moyes now. He needs friends in the media to help him with his upcoming media job next season

So Rio would just tell him he's starting today and nothing else? Rio might not be the brightest spark but surely if he was going to expose that one player starts it wouldn't be himself.
Plus it's hardly uncommon to hear that one player is starting before the line ups are announced. The issue was that the entire lineup was being leaked and released game after game for weeks.

I don't think Rio is playing, it's a trap by Moyes, he's told one suspect that Rio is playing, another that Fabio is playing and another that RVP is back, and then he just waits, like a really shit Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

If all they're doing is giving journalists the team news about 20 minutes early, who really cares?

If it is Rio he'll be gone soon enough anyway, and making himself less welcome to return...all in order to gain the ability to let people on twitter know what the team will be via the medium of someone else.

Even for him that would possibly be a new level of stupid, so can't say I'm convinced.

It's none of the players - it's an agent. Cleverley and Rios people both have ties to The Mirror

I thought Rio doesn't know if he's starting or not upto s hour before kickoff.

I imagine (call this fanciful if you wish), but if Ferdinand fears this late notice affects his performance, I'd imagine a man of Moyes' diplomacy may be inclined to hint to Rio that he's going to be playing in advance so he can focus on the game better. Ferdinand's age is starting to affect his performances; Moyes would do everything he could to ensure that Rio is as best prepared as he can be in order to take to the field.

Worth keeping an eye on him and his paper to see who gets favourable coverage...

Anderson. I think the leaks stopped in January, that's when Ando went on loan.

He was on United in Press recently so I doubt United are that arsed.

I don't really see the problem tbh.

This is just a journalist doing his job.
