Yeah it's good but not great. It's because it's Young. It's pretty central, keeper might've done better but it had some power. I just think no one expected it, especially not from him.
It was a good goal, but I think that a better keeper (not neccesarily De Gea) would have saved it. The keeper touched it and it was central.
Still a goal is a goal, and a goal from 20 yeards or more is always a god goal.

It was ok as goals go I suppose. Looked especially good because we all expected Young to be utter shite all night and not contribute anything of note.
The goal is pretty good. I think it would be a better goal if he placed it way beyond the goalkeeper, a little further into the corner, to make it a truly unstoppable goal. He's given the keeper a good chance of saving it.
How cleanly he strikes the ball though, there's no arguing with that. It's a bastard of a strike. I love a good blast when the hit is clean and straight. He barely even breaks stride.

.Agree with you. If it wouldn't have been that much central, it would have been an amazing goal. It was funny cause during the shoot my stream stopped and I was pretty sure that it was a goal. After 20 seconds I saw the players celebrating.
The goal was great lads, not just pretty good, or pretty cool, it was fanfeckingtastic. Put it this way, if Rooney or RvP scored that goal....
On the flipside, if it was Adnan who struck it like that, there'd be cocks out.
Maybe we just dislike Ashley Young so much, we can't even give him the credit of a fine goal.

To be fair Adnan is our shining star, people whip their dicks out when he bobbles it out for a throwing. Saying that Januzaj has hit far better goals that that so far this season, I'd still think that one was pretty average coming from him.
Another way of looking at that gif is Hernandez has one hell of a left foot.
I don't actually think that was a set up for Young by Chico, I think he was trying to turn & shoot.

That's a fairly good point. I don't doub that most people would rather have Januzaj in the line-up than Young as Januzaj is the better player, but it is remarkable how much better Evra plays with Young. He doesn't look knackered because Young takes a lot of defensive responsibility and they have a very good understanding going forwards.
It'll still count as an assist for Hernandez, even though Young just stole it from him

Looks like a fine first touch to me. Keeps him and the ball away from the defender, as he's not going to outmuscle a Stoke centre back. He's got nobody to on the right hand side. Looks like he's looking to put the ball out to the left, until Ashley Young, the heinous chance-thief, robs him of his opportunity to spread the play.
No.If Young doesn't arrive on the scene Hernandez either turns and hits it with his left foot or lays it off to Evra on the flank. Its more of a case that Young took the ball off of Chicharito than Chicharito let the ball get so far away from him that Young had to intervene. Young makes the decision for Hernandez and well done to him for doing that. We need Young to be more assertive, more decisive and more like the player he was at the start of 2011-12 than the player he has been since this season started.

Bloody hell, look at it! It's a central shot for feck's sake. He did well to hit it with enough power so the keeper fecked up but it's hardly a wonder goal. Januzaj has scored some proper peaches that ooze class and composure as well as skill. Young's was a decent strike.
Its straight at the keeper, from just outside the penalty area, in a league cup quarter final against stokes 2nd choice keeper.

Either way. Young's strike was a decent hit, the power was impressive but it wasn't anything worth wanking over like a Scholes volley, for example. I was only talking about Januzaj because someone else brought him up.
Its absurd. Its not even anything to do with his skill either its just one of those gloriously sweet strikes where the player connects perfectly.
