Six Nations Rugby Union

england playing really bad and losing against italy 15-6

anyway, i think that if england takes their finger out of their sass they will win this

edit hodson scores 15-11

England are for the taking

France - Ireland game called off 2 minutes before kick off.

What a disgrace. No under soil heating on their national stadium?

Was looking forward to this :(

"Please keep your tickets."

Half of them have bloody thrown their tickets away. Also, who the feck is going to pay for the flights of all the Irish fans who made the trip. Ridiculous.

The announcement was made to keep the tickets at the time the game was called off. Why anyone would have thrown away their ticket when they might still have needed it to get back to their seats etc. is beyond me.

I know its away from six nations but:

All Black great Jonah Lomu needs new kidney transplant

Former All Blacks winger Jonah Lomu has said he needs a new kidney transplant and has lost 30kg since September.
Lomu, who scored 37 tries in 63 Tests for New Zealand between 1994 and 2002, had a first organ transplant in 2004 but the kidney stopped functioning in October 2011.

The 36-year-old has recently been having dialysis for 21 hours each week.
"Nothing has made any difference - the next step is to try to find a donor," he told New Zealand Woman's Weekly .

"I know I was fortunate to get the first transplant but there are more difficulties this time around.

"The match will be harder and the process of finding a suitable donor is difficult. The chances of my body rejecting this kidney are higher too.
"I'm really lucky - I've already lived more in one lifetime than many would in six or seven lifetimes. The thing about being human is that everybody has to die sometime.

"For me, the important thing is to ask 'can you look in the mirror and say you done everything to enjoy life?"'
Lomu was diagnosed with the kidney disorder nephrotic syndrome in 1995.

Ireland need a confidence booster, the ideal scenario would be to go out there and kick the fecking shite out of Italy today but I dont see that happening, will probably be end up being a tight game

Hard worked try, they needed that. Ireland need to push on now and really destroy them if they can

Well deserved try to Italy, feck me this is ridiculously frustrating, Ireland trying to play rugby from their own 22 every time they need to get a hold on this game

Ireland are good when they actually bother to play, they just piss about in their own half way too much

Ireland playing much better this half than they did in the first half

Bit of a collapse from Italy.

Let's see how ours compares in 40 minutes time... :nervous:

Yesssssss in Welsh.

How can that be inconclusive? You can see him on the camera shot from behind the try line he plants it even if only for a split second then the camera from the side you see an arm underneath it but that's after it has been put down from what I could see

Disagree. It was inconclusive so the tv ref couldn't give it.
Wales deserved it and always good to see England lose.

Eeee what a game. Very difficult to call the last try from 2 of the 3 angles it looked like a definite no try but from one of them it looked like Strettle may have got it. Hard to give the try with that much uncertainty.

agree it would have been hard to give as not a conclusive angle tbh, even if it had, the conversion would have been damn hard to make as well.

we lost that because we let them score a try, shouldn't have let them steal it and should have reacted faster when they did.

Two angles show it as clear as fking day - down

That's complete bollocks

Brilliant effort from England in this game where they were expected to get hammered by 40 clear points if the media are to be believed. Really got in the welsh faces and with a tad more experience would have beaten them.

Wales are a class outfit though and you kind of felt they always had a try in them somewhere.

Still England have a good platform to build imo

They at least deserved the draw which they were robbed of

 Typically bitter.

It was a try but as it was the try or no try call, you obviously have to say inconclusive. Kick was a difficult one too.

Also they obviously didn't deserve it when we were leading for 70% of the game but could've gone either way. It was always going to come down to one play and I'm pretty gutted with the final result, specially after that final Strettle incident.

I was impressed with England's improvement and particularly Farrell and Tuilagi. Wales always strong, Warburton was their outstanding player I reckon.

Best game I've seen in a while. As England were actually able to compete.

That was a superb game, couple of the English boys (Robshaw, Croft, Barritt, Farrell) really didn't deserve to lose. But I don't think you can give a try for that at the end, and I think overall Wales were the better side. We've got a lot going for us and a young side, and even though England had answers to a lot of what we threw at them, we still did very well away from home.

You reckon? At no point did I see downward pressure applied to the ball by Strettle.

Great victory for Wales. The Grand Slam is in the bag.

In fairness, I'm pretty sure the rule isn't downward pressure any more. It used to be 'controlled pressure' as well, which made sense, but now I think it's just contact. Which is stupid. But I still don't think there was sufficient evidence to give it.

Oh, and by the way, this painting of England as underdogs and we should have beaten them by more is bizarre. This time last year this Wales backline were a bunch of kids. Winning at Twickenham is still a superb achievement

If so, then fair point. Even so, still inconclusive.

Agree on your second point. The fact of the matter is that this is the kind of game we would have lost in the past. The 10 minute sin bin period was handled magnificently, and that gave them a platform to build from.

As much as I would love have seen the three quarter line get more of the ball, it was very pleasing to see the boys grind out a result like that.
