"Well all credit to the manager, he's made a decent career for himself. But what's this I'm hearing about Sunday? A send off? Listen, United have have a match to play. Let's not just go along for a sing song. Ferguson is retiring; get over it."

Gutted, just gutted.
Now what are we going to do without him?
For me, two managers stand above all others, in any sport. Sir Alex Ferguson and John Wooden. Both were not only fantastic managers, but also good men.
As the tributes pour in, I'd like to read more about what Fergie accomplished in his 25 years in professional football as a player and manager in Scotland. That record alone warrants lavish praise, much like what Wooden accomplished before his incredible title run at UCLA.
Both had much to teach us about how to live our lives as human beings, which speaks as much about them as men as do their trophy hauls.
That is Brilliant!Nando's @NandosUK 56m
In honour of Sir Alex Ferguson we're proud to introduce #NandosFergieTime - all our Manchester Nando's will be open 5 minutes later tonight.
Apparently Fergie was in tears when he revealed it.
There would be something very moving about watching a 71-year-old, working-class (or used to be, at least!) gruff, Glaswegian, authoritarian workaholic crying.
Is this true? Where did you hear that? Because I'm at tipping point for the waterworks here and if that's true there's no stopping them
Alex Morgan @alexmorgan13 57s
Whoever takes over the head position at Manchester United... You have some large boots to fill! I bow down to #SirAlex for his achievements.
Where's that photo of her in the current home kit?
Barca praise for Fergie
"Ferguson is a coach who will always be remembered. His retirement is a loss for the football world. All the things he won and that he always stayed at the level of the best coaches is amazing." - Sergio Busquets
"[His retirement is like] removing a myth of football, he is the kind of professional that helps make this occupation meaningful! Thanks Sir Alex Ferguson." - Daniel Alves
"All my admiration for Sir Alex Ferguson. He leaves the bench for Manchester United after 26 seasons. Legend." - Cristian Tello
Bet SAF will enjoy Alex Morgan bowing down to him.
Don't know if it's been mentioned, and frankly, I don't care if it has!

I especially love that quote from Alves.

Not such a bad footballer, either.
