Signing creative players

Yeah I just checked his thread. I want him here and to move Di Maria out wide for him.

That'd could of been potentially great.
 
Can I just say that since Rooney's been in midfield, he's looked our most creative player. That ball to Lingard is a great example. I hardly see that from any of our players.

If we continue to stick with a 433, and get someone creative next to Rooney (assuming he plays there next season) and a deep lying playmaker similar to Carrick, then we'll be fine, in my opinon.

Actually, I'm desperate to see what a midfield of Carrick (holding), with Rooney and Herrera above him can produce. We did see a bit of it the other day, but I mean starting with each other.

It's too bad we won't play opposition who put in performances like Aston Villa, Palace and Everton (first half) often. The first 20 minutes of the FA cup match Everton didn't turn up at all. The second half, when Everton turned up, Rooney was anonymous. Cleverly was afforded a lot of freedom in that midfield. I hate to think what Kante and Drinkwater will do this weekend should Rooney line up in midfield, let alone champions league opposition should we finish in the top 4.

Goalposts are always moving when Rooney is discussed these days to best suit him. A side like Manchester United should not be looking to shoehorn a player into our side. I'd rather a proper midfielder line up in the position. He can play the odd lofted ball (often to the right wing to no benefit) but his passing ability is massively overstated. His finishing, when consistent, is his best asset. He is a striker, the deeper he plays the greater the detriment on the side.

With the signing of Sanches looking likely I'm intrigued to see who else we bring in this summer. Midfield options of Sanches, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Schweinsteiger, Pereira and Fosu-Mensah (I see the lad as a midfielder) don't seem too bad should they all be performing at a higher level of which they are capable (referring to Herrera, Schwein and Schnei).
 
We ended up signing creative players.

Zlatan is not just about goals, he also assist often; Mkhitaryan was one of the leading assist-maker last season and Pogba is one of the best midfielders with good stats in goals and assist. So, this transfer window was great in terms of creative players.
