Show the bloody game!

Has anyone noticed that sometimes they don't even tell you the subs bench these days. Not a problem when I'm on the caf, but when I'm not it is.

Almost as if they want to give the commentators something extra to talk about.

I had a feeling this thread would get bumped, ESPN coverage is fecking awful.

You enjoyed the game today, didn't you Top?

Ridiculous. What was it, 15 seconds where the ball was fully in play, yet we got to watch everything else?

One day I'll send a mean letter and demand an answer.

I just wish they would stop showing-off their cameras by showing replays (apparently) from outer space. That and the Sky technique rip-offs, like focusing on nail-biting fans etc etc.

We were treated to a nice 10 second close up of Jermaine Jenas today while the ball was in play.

"Looking forward to Christmas, Chris?"

"Ohhh Yes"

Direct quote from the game yesterday

There was also a moment when that prick Champion was talking about players dogs for fecks sake

I hate Sky, but there coverage shits on ESPN's from a great height

Christmas time has come again, which means "hilarious" shots of "hilarious" fans dressed as Santa. What characters.

Yea. Nothing like a replay of nothing and then a zoom in on some Wolves player whilst the game is going on.

They had a great chance to show the offside moments after the substitution. Should have done so.

There was one bit where De Gea took a kick out which set Welbeck through on goal (turned out to be offside) but they were too busy showing a close up of Rio Ferdinand.

Just missed Berbz goal because they where showing the penalty-shout replay

Also missed Valencia running with the ball out of defense in a tight situation because they thought Moses' face was more interesting.
In the last counter attack they were too busy showing Lindegaard grinning after his fumble and in panic switched to a weird angle not showing really anything.

Not the top production team this match.

Just missed Berbz goal because they where showing the penalty-shout replay

This is extremely annoying. It wasn't a one-off, though. There was another time when Lindegaard had taken a goal kick or thrown the ball back into play, but I was forced to watch some random replay of God-knows-what and that too the whole move rather than just the bit that had to be emphasized. feckers.

ARGH! Idiots! Idiots! Idiots!

That angry letter is nearly complete. Idiots.

The thing is in the old days I think it actually happened more often, I'm sure I remember missing 2-3 goals within a few months in the late 90's. But I think that was because there was less preparation, less cameras, worse reactions to events. Everything was probably controlled by fewer people, so when an event suddenly took place it was harder to catch.

These days its an epidemic of showing, and talking about, about things related to football instead of the football itself. Subtext is great and all but for feck sake show the actual text.

Sorry, I thought I was tuning in to watch a football game not slow motion replays of Alan fecking Pardew waving his arms around like a prick every time one of his players goes into a 50:50.

This.

ITV are fecking retarded. I don't think we ever even got an explanation of why Nani was booked did we?

Good to see Balotelli and Beckham looked well, that's important to know

Remember one incident in the first half where we were treated to a post goal kick De Gea reacting with frustration to something that we'll never get to see. Ever.

If they are incompetent enough to miss the action, the least they can do is show us a replay of whatever we missed.

The number of times they did a close up and you couldn't see shit was unbelievable. Just stick to the zoomed out camera ffs.

Totally enjoyed Sandro doing rollovers in the technical area.
