Confirmed Tuchel is gone. If arsenal board don't act on this, they are as foolish as AFTV make them out to be. Wenger's time is over.

I bet as soon as Tuchel was fired Wenger called Kroenke and told him he would take the offer he previously deemed "too low" for a man of his stature.

I can't wait for the fan excuses. It's the same every year.

The wenger in fans will just lower expectations. Before it was top 4 and a trophy, now its FA cup and Europa. When wenger crashes out of europa it will be "he's not worrying about europa, top 4 is key"

Tuchel becoming available on the same day as Wenger's contract extension is confirmed - you couldn't make it up.

Well done Arsene, you manipulative fool.

Fair play to Wenger, lost half the fanbase, it looked like he lost the players but he got it done.

:D.

I don't think Wenger has it in him anymore (to compete with the very best who are themselves at their zenith, i.e Conte), but chances are anybody who'd replace him would do worse. As a Arsenal fan i'd be dying a little inside, as a Arsenal owner I would 100% have done the same as Kronke.

Shock. Though maybe next year really will be different! :wenger:

That said, I'm still buzzing off the Cup Final win. If it was offered today, I'd take a season not too different to this one, if it came with a trophy at the end and Champions League football the following year. A league run is probably too much to ask for with Wenger staying.

I can't believe he keeps getting away with it. Nothing will change, he will continue to have the club by the balls. It's so predictable that we should probably bet on arsenals form. Probably make a killing during their collapse next season and then make even more when they try for the last six games.

We sacked LVG after winning the FA cup because he was terrible. Arsenal finally fall down to their lowest point in years and the architect of that is awarded a two year contract.

Arsenal FC: Specialists in failure.

No City are gonna win everything unfortunately for us and the others.

Wenger in!

Frankly he's the right man for the job at Arsenal. He's a proven winner who's reputation has been besmerched by the board selling his best players and regularly and making him replace them on a shoe string. Now they have the money and he's started spending, he might well turn it around.

Riiiiiiight...

Should have had the good sense to walk away after winning something Arsene.

He wants to beat Fergie's 26-year record doesn't he?

Let him, the longer he carries on shows how far ahead Fergie was as a manager.
Wenger is embarrassing himself and his club, and to me it seems like pure vanity is the reason for him to want to continue.

First 10 years under AW@Arsenal:- 3 PL+4 FA cups
Vs.
Last 10 years under AW@Arsenal:- 0 PL+3 FA cup.

That's hardly a progress even if you factor in the Highbury vs. Emirates investment. Any other top clubs he would have got fired. Long may it continue !
