I've always liked Pogba and found him to be an absolute joy to watch when in full flow.
But I think we have a bit of potential problem on our hands with him. He's definitely someone with flaws in his game when it comes to off the ball quality and a drop in quality on it in games where there's time and space to maneuver. You can make up for those weaknesses and really make the most of his obvious gifts (vision, dribbling, creativity) if you have the right sort of team (and coach) around him.
But to be honest, I dont think we do, not like Juventus or France did and considering we are still on the path trying to become that side we want to be, it just feels like the wrong time for Pogba to be at this club. He has never been the engine and that's really what we need before we can truly make the most of players like Pogba who are tactically difficult to fit in. He's not really a CM and doesn't excel at the things you want from true midfielders - accurate passing under pressure, focus, energy, winning loose balls, playmaking. He's someone who can add flair and class to a midfield that already has most of the necessary ingredients. He also isn't a pure AM and he have someone more productive than him there in Bruno (although I wouldn't say better).
So that leaves us with an undeniably brilliant talent that is fanatastic when in full flow but with some definite weaknesses and one who is tactically difficult to fit in. Considering we are a young team building for the future and which needs to get at least the basics right - competing in midfield, controlling games, tactically on point etc I do think we should consider selling Pogba and am beginning to worry whether extending his contract could see our midfield continue to be imblanced for years to come.
It's not an easy one as if a top manager can make it work he'd really fly. But it just feels like he's not what we need now.
