I am not an expert on Barcelona situation but Alves had a pretty bad season the previous year and a bad reputation for revolutionizing the dressing room , plus he is 32, so I imagine that Barcelona wanted to reduce wages and the number of years of contract . His performance improved and certainly the opinion of Messi had much to do in the club trying an understanding. In this case I think the situation is more complicated, Ramos 's relationship with the president is broken and has been very noisy with his brother leaking everything to the press, besides according to the press he feels hurts in their pride.
In any case ,maybe you don´t like your boss, or the way how he runs the company, but that is not a reason to quit your club for a decade. He is not the best paid but 7 million a year is no disrespect in my opinion.
Madrid is not going to offer 10 after tax, maybe 7.5 or 8 but never 10.
 
For once, we're in a position of relative power. In Valdes, we already have a ready replacement. Casillas on the other hand, is already looking to move, but Madrid can't assume we'll sell De Gea for whatever price they offer. Technically we can even bench De Gea for the remainder of his contract, if he is unwise enough to kick up a serious fuss. Once Madrid and De Gea finally come to terms with this, I think they'll take a more reasonable stand and start negotiating much closer to what we are asking for.

Ramos, as I said earlier, is never going to come. I think in the end, they'll come to a compromise and increase his wages so that everyone can back down without embarassment. It's really nothing more than bruised egos, which led to a domestic quarrel deliberately made public.
 
Even if we dont sign Ramos: the fact that he is pissed at Real, wont sign a new contract and the fans think less of Perez, it was well worth it

The thing is if he doesn't sign a new contract he'll be in his last year of his contract next season. So we'll snap him up for a bargain next summer if it is all true.

My Spanish isn't the best, but the only thing that link tells me is that Marcelo extended untill 2021?
 
I wouldn't care if that's true and not photoshop, I am not happy with Ramos anyway and it still means nothing for the de Gea deal.
 
Pretty sure de Gea is also talking with LVG. These photos mean nothing. What else was he going to do? Sit at home and refuse to fulfill his duty as a Real player whilst under contract? I'm pretty sure the rest of the team would have been there too.
 
He is likley obliged to do this all so it probably means nothing but still he could be smilling less, he is just smilling too much for somebody apparently so unhappy that he wants to leave asap, altough being a monkey in the Perez circus for such a long time you learn to put up a fake smile all the time probably.
