Frankly, who cares. It's not United playing. But it's United players enjoying the spoils of victory. Was a soft pen, but it was a pen.
 
Those last 5 minutes have to be one of the best times I have ever seen a team kill a game completely without needing to dive or roll on the pitch in a pathetic way. England just kept the ball and completely prevented Denmark from getting it.

Best team won. Not sure why Denmark decided to park the bus starting from second half and stop playing football, defending the 1-1 up till the pen, when they were playing well in the first half. Shit tactical decision.

Gonna be a cracking final.

Thought England did enough in the game to get the win. But, it was difficult. Decided by an own goal and a rebound off a questionable penalty. Things will have to change for the final.

Great to get there, though. Huge step.
 
Really happy for Southgate. This game is a mirror image of the Croatia semi final loss in 2018. We went a goal up through a direct free kick, then lost 2-1 in extra time. You can tell what it means to him now we’ve gone one further.

You don’t understand how VAR works in the Euros. They only overturn if they absolutely can not support his decision. In reality that never happens as there is always a slight contact. That’s why they haven’t overturned any decisions at all in the Euros.

Domination has nothing to do with it. Diving is diving and it is sad to watch. I wanted England in the final before this game but now it just feels wrong.
 
Anyway. The best teams of the tournament will be that the final... cracking game on sunday!

I feel for the Danes for sure, but think you need to calm down. There was minimal contact but they're given these days often. Hardly as controversial as a blatant handball.
 
England by far the better team out there. Denmark just ran out of steam after a great run. They had a fantastic tournament and can be proud. I think England have enough quality in the final third to win the final. Comes down to if their midfield can contain the Italians though. I think they will. For as much shit as Rice/Phillips got this tournament I think Italy is the perfect team for that midfield.
 
England was by far the better team and deserved to win. However, that was a dive. The referee should be banned from big competitions forever. Mistakes exist, but with VAR there is no need to make such big mistakes, just go and fecking check it.

The final would be interesting. I have Italy as slight favorites, but Wembley will give to England a huge boost. Nevertheless, the best two teams in the competition reached the final, which is something that doesn't happen very often.
 
Favourite thing of the tournament is how England fans were crying at anyone who dared mock them singing it’s coming home song, defending it by saying it’s ironic, untill it’s not :lol:

oh and not forgetting all the diving, well played and deserved.
 
Congratulations to England. They were the only team trying to win in ET and it's the final I wanted to see.

But my heart goes out to Denmark. The resiliency they showed throughout the tournament after the horrible incident in their opening game and then to lose to what is, at best, a soft penalty is heartbreaking.
 
Anyone else notice Sterling's calf is caught for the pen? He was going down, anyway though.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it should have been given, but I can understand why VAR would not overturn.

England legit played the whole tournament at wembley and even Italy played games at wembley.

England was clearly the host nation and they sprinkled some other venues for kicks.

Get in England! Commiserations to Denmark, they’ve been a credit to the tournament and to themselves and they fought hard tonight. But big well done to the team tonight, we were under pressure after going behind and pulled through and Kane came through under immense pressure too, that might be the most important penalty he will ever take!
Whatever happens now, let’s get ourselves focused and prepared, we must not leave on Sunday with any regrets.
