Semi Finals: Argentina vs Croatia | Eng... France vs Morocco

“Heavy Weight” Semis lately:
France-Belgium: complete borefest
Germany-Brazil: slaughter
Argentina-Holland: borefest
France-Portugal: borefest

Only Italy- Germany of 2006 and Germany-Spain of 2010 were memorable, and even the latter no my so much.

min fact, Croatia in 2018 and Uruguay in 2010 were involved in memorable semis
Germany was a master class. Like I said, in a heavy weight clash, give me a master class or a balanced, tight game. Even if it's a boring game, I'd rather a tight game than something like yesterday, or what today is looking like.

Argentina v Netherlands was a great game in the quarters this year. Spain vs Germany in the group was a good game. England vs France was a good game. It's not fun when there is virtually no threat on the outcome. Yeah Croatia had a good game vs England in the semi's, and then got pretty much battered by France in a 1 sided final. Glad it's Argentina vs France at least in the final.

I disagree. Always thought he was great for Arsenal, very good at linking up with his back against the goal and bringing others into play. Very unselfish as well. He can be the perfect striker in the right system. Many people just struggled to focus on anything but the fact he didn't quite score as many goals as the elite strikers.

And it's not revisionism, I've been saying this for years.
Then you've been wrong for years - I used the word revisionism because a lot of people have started trumpeting this on the back of his France goal record.

France might back to back WC without really wowing in either tourney. Is what it is, I guess.

Can't see how France lose this WC, they're boring to watch though. Just some individual moments of brilliance.

Revisionism. He was never at the required level for a top club, often came up short. He's had wonderful career for France though, and this world cup he's been very good (his 2018 one, despite all the a posteriori re-writings of silent domination etc, he was mediocre at best)

thank you, thought i was going mad

"Lloris always has a blunder in him".

Maybe, but so far he's absolutely world class.

The game has been good, some people aren't enjoying it because it seems no matter what Morocco will do France are gonna win anyway.

At least Morocco putting in more of a fight than Croatia yesterday. France having clear chances every time they attack though, so they've been a bit lucky it's only 1.
