Semi Finals: Argentina vs Croatia | Eng... France vs Morocco

Using Gvardiol to mark Messi seems wrong to me. Gvardiol getting pulled into midfield by Messi and that's leaving Croatian defense in confusion.

Anyone else think England are better than both these?

Well, maybe with a better coach.

You can tell who has played the game before on the Caf and who are the mini Peter Waltons
HAHA. The job of learning and applying the rules of the game is that of the referee though, not the players. The same pundits were crying a few days ago because Kane didn’t get a penalty for a foul outside the box.

Do Croatia have a Weghorst type player on the bench

I know coaches like a defensive sub but how often have we seen a team completely concede all possession afterwards?

It was a clearer penalty than all the ones France gave up against England. And they were hard to argue against.
Agree.
I know that in 2016 we entered the post factual world order, but saying that’s not a penalty is absolutely bonkers. Imagine an opposing GK does that to Rashford or Martial; we’d be asking for 6 match ban

Gvardiol is class but he’s trying to do a little too much now.

how the hell does Paredes start over Martinez?

The way people here are singing praises of Enzo Fernandez is surprising. He looks a decent to good young midfielder to me, nothing more. His vision is nothing special, his passing is nothing special, his pace is non existent. He is young and good for his age and can turn into good player but that’s about it. People going about him like he is the second coming of Riquelme.

Adore Kovacic's change of pace through midfield even if it does feel he should be better than he is.

I can’t wait until Messi retires. Little bastard is too good.

Luckily for you, this WC is probably his last international tournament ever.

And at UCL he hasn't been great against good teams in the last 3 years, so you don't have to worry much about him in the UCL nowadays, only in Ligue 1 but nobody cares about what PSG does in France.
