All while it's not actually a clear shot either. Alvarez could easily claim he wanted to poke it around and chase for the tap in... whether true or not, who cares, that's his argument. If it's a clear shot skied over, thereofor Alvarez gets his intended action off and follows it up with the smash. It wouldn't be a pen, but it's pretty much impossible to call that and no player would admit to it. So that's why it's almost always a pen.
