SECOND NPOWER TEST, HEADINGLEY: ENGLAND v WEST INDIES

Declaration coming......Monty and Harmy just taken their pads off.

23-2 for the Windies
Sidebottom with both wickets for lbw

90-5 Harmison. Lucky there seeing as it wasn't actually out.
Looks like we'll win this with ease, only problem is the weather

Windies all out 146. Trailing by 424 runs, only the rain can stop England now. Sidebottom with the last wicket.
Follow on must be used

I'm not convinced we even bowled all that well! Sidebottom sets the batsmen up, Plunkett would do well to try some of that business

Any other team in the world would take the follow on in an instant. You always need to double check when it's England for some reason :(

Sidebottom looks quite a good selection. Another wicket
20-1

Last ball of the day and Sidebottom gets yet another LBW.
22-2. Great day for England

Wow, what a day!

I hope th weather holds up long enough over the next two days to allow England to take full advantage of this situation and wrap up the innings

My original thoughts that we needed to get 20 wickets today hasn't proved far wrong... :p

Be washouts the next two days folks. But we've given ourselves a chance on Tuesday

Weather reports are never 100 percent accurate,it was gloomy all day today at headingly but it held off. With 3 days we should wrap this up even if it's stop start.Good consistent bowling from sidebottom and he looked very handy when it's swinging hope we stick by him at 29 he's still got a few years yet as a bowler and even if just for these types of pitches would be good choice to have alongside hoggy.K.p is showing what i thought two years ago that he will one day be the best batsmen in the world and it could be soon if he keeps this up.Seems to have sussed out his game and slowly gets himself in which is helping alot.Plunkett is getting better too still a bit inconsistent but he takes wickets with very good deliveries and if gets more consistency will be a major asset to our pace attack his action looks nigh on perfect for test cricket and his batting looked good too hopefully be our giles down the order and with prior firing looks a much more solid batting line up.Overall great day for england was good to watch.

just you? :smirk:

;)

Well we're not going to get any play today, hopefully it'll brighten up tomorrow otherwise we're going to need 8 wickets on the final day

He's a cnut, looks like a cnut, talks like a cnut. . . and is a fecking South African ie cnut. He shouldn't be playing for England and all.

BUT he is probably our best batsman

Probably?!

I like him. I like his attitude. Basically I like the fact that he probably is a cnut. Because he's our cnut!

Well I finally got one prediction absolutely spot on, yesterday was a complete washout

Agreed on the pieterson bit allthough to me he doesn't seem that much of a cnut to be honest he just has an aura about him that he believes he is the best and that pays off and maybe is why he is so dominant to the bowlers. You don't get this alot with our players and tbh lately players like freddie for instance have lost that edge,i see an interview with him were he talked about the 5-0 nil in australia and he had a little grin on his face like oh well it happens, and seems to joke around alot.Very good player but perhaps that is what seperates the very good from the best.Keane was also very much unliked but like pieterson i think this is to do with the will to win and improve.

Good to see 15 minutes of play today, more than yesterday already but that'll be the lot probably. Windies managed to lose a wicket (Gayle) in that time aswell.
31-3

typical. brilliant batsman, nice guy in interviews but HALF south african = cnut.

Flintoff tho. lazy, drunken joke of a PR hungry cnut but northern = good lad.

He's full South African. Born in South Africa. Grew up in South Africa, learnt to play cricket in South Africa, came through the ranks in South Africa. . . he should be playing for. . . shock, horror. . . South Africa. And he's a cnut.

So Panesar shouldn't play for England either? How about Shah? Andrew Strauss? How about NZ's very own Andrew Caddick? Isn't Simon Jones Welsh? And Ed Joyce Irish or something? I'm not from England yet it doesn't bother me that much. I mean if he is eligible to play for England then that isn't that enough, and besides your pretty rubbish anyway. :p

Who is this Sidbottom character? I've never heard him before but apparantley he's late 20's?

Ryan Sidebottom. Played for England about 7 years ago but has just been called back due to our lack of swing bowlers. Doing a good job aswell

Panesar? he's from England. Unless you think people with turbans are not English. Shah grew up here and learnt his cricket in England. As for Andy Caddick. . . thanks for nothing. He was rubbish. . . and had big ears.

Meh, Panesar was a guess. Caddick still played for you, rubbish or not. And Shah was born in another country then? And how about the others; Joyce, Jones, Jones? I feel you've just got something against KP? Which is wierd seeing as he seems a decent guy and a bloody good cricketer.

Shah's from England. As for Simon Jones. . . er it's the English and Welsh cricket board, basically, England represents both nations. The other Jones can do one as well. . . as can Strauss. And I'll let Joyce off, because he can't play Test cricket for Ireland can he.
