SECOND NPOWER TEST, HEADINGLEY: ENGLAND v WEST INDIES

I would think Anderson should win the day over Sidebottom.

What's happened to young Broad?

Flintoff, Hoggard, Shah out.

Vaughan, Sidebottom or Anderson in.

A farce that Anderson wasn't playing in the first test for me. Be a bloody disgrace if Sidebottom was picked ahead of him

Shah is an odd one. Makes 80 odd on his debut, he looked so nervous in the first test, you'd never have thought he could ever make a score at this level

Vaughan should be proving his form before being inserted straight back in the team, captain or no captain, given his record (in terms of form and injury) in recent times

There, a list of my gripes! Now those are off my chest, can enjoy the match :)

p.s know it's a bank holiday, but I don't think tests should start on a Friday

That took me a while, but very good

Forecast is quite good though, isn't it?

If we had a fully fit bowling attack we would coast this series

Any news on Simon Jones?

3 good days...2 dodgy ones according to t'internet.

Simon Jones? not sure...heard he was back playing for Glamorgan and then...nothing.

Name your total at the moment for England, I can't remember a good appeal for hours, and the runs are coming with ease. Having woken up to reports Sunday, Monday and Tuesday may be washouts, this displeases me a little

KP 200 if he gets through the first half hour. Forecast looking dodgy though.

Michael Vaughan later ruined his achievement in my eyes, when he said in an end of day interview 'that was Michael Vaughans best innings'. It might have been, but stop fecking referring to yourself in the third person! Does my head in

According to the weather reports, I fancy we need to quickly post another 50 odd runs at least, then take 20 wickets (enforcing the follow on obviously) before the end of the day :(

Absolutely. It smacks of the "motivation techniques" imported from the US to which Ashley Cole and Lennox Lewis subscribe.
It makes you sound like a c*ck Michael, stop it.

Looking good on 450-5. Prior just got to 50, Pieterson just passed his highest every score. Should look to declare just after lunch imo

When was KP dropped only just managed to get to a TV now been following what I could on cricinfo at work. Missed this..?

489-6 Prior out for 75.
Pieterson still in just 11 runs off a double century

Given the weather report, the commentators are all talking about a declaration soon. I say sod that, we bat until Pieterson is out or we reach 600. He's smashing them a run a ball at the moment. And it'll all but certainly force the follow on which is the most absolutely essential thing to be doing today

Wet and mildly miserable in Manc this morning. I presume this thing about the rain missing Yorkshire and dumping its crap here is true. Maybe the clouds just have too much crap to dump the next few days

Afternoon Brad, I say let KP get 200, then smash it every ball till out. Then declare. Otherwise it will go the same way as the 1st test, we don't want that.

The weather is great in Cumbria :D

500 for England now, KP nearly got his 200 aswell. As manxmanc said, we should start smashing them around in a little bit

Hillarious drop by Collymore, he had it in his hands a good second or so before it snuck out!

ANother massive 6 from Pieterson, either aiming for 600, or have just been told you have 30 minutes to make as many runs as possible

Notice how we can play this form of cricket now suddenly, but not when it was truely called for in the world cup...
