This is what I also think.

Even if Paqueta doesn't go and they get JWP, that doesn't mean McTominay is off the cards. The team had a terrible finish last season and they need better players.

Yeah it could very possibly be that they opted for McTominay over JWP even though the JWP deal was easier to do and now with the Paquetta news they have realised they will get both so pulled the trigger on JWP.

Not even remotely true. He played as a #6 in the beginning of the season until Casemiro kicked on. Just off the top of my head, we played with McTominay as #6 at Man City when we lost 6-3. And when we beat Arsenal 3-1 at OT. The midfield was McTominay, Eriksen and Bruno in both games.

Might sound daft, but I actually think a McFred combination would be great for them. A little surprised they aren't looking at Fred, tbh. He could be a fantastic player for them and the fans would love him.

You’re speaking to the wrong person mate, my point is that McTominay is for sale, and is clearly not on the list of players that we want to keep.

ETH isn’t setting the price for him, Mctominay like Maguire, Fred, Henderson and numerous others is on the list of players who can go. Whether or not they do is dependent on finances now.

Mctominay isn’t a good player for us, he rarely offers anything above mediocre and we’ll never play to his strengths. It be real shame if we let this opportunity pass by, and it won’t be doing Mctominay any favours either as I can’t see him starting many games.

At West Ham with Moyes as a manager he is potentially a completely different player especially if he can score a lot of goals which he has shown glimpses of being able to do.

Yeah selling him would be good but he can do a job for us and who knows how Amrabat, Hannibal and Mainoo work out whilst Eriksen is a huge question mark himself.

I'm just saying let's not panic as in the very, very worst case scenario I'd only worry if the Amrabat deal was dependant on him which I don't believe seems to be the case and he can also offer something.

We also have a valuation that nobody else thinks he’s worth, which is the topic of debate. If he was seen as a valuable player here, we would not be talking about a few million here or there. There would be no conversation at all. The player himself is happy to stay after all, so if we were similarly happy, the conversation would be moot. We are posturing and trying to get money, but at a price nobody agrees with.
