The guy writes for the sun, its bullsh*t then.

Hes one of the more reliable journos to be honest, but he has more connections with EFL clubs

West Ham have leaks everywhere. Rarely does a West Ham story come out that wasn’t true

Its been an utter mess this season, very few ITK have been right as it happens, multiple times we've been singing players only for it to turn out to be BS.

What I will say though is there is nothing else on the ITK front, and I can't imagine this has happened so fast that none of the ITK have heard even whispers of it before hand. Alan Nixon is thus far the only source for this.

"Long distance medicals" haha I love it!

Utter bollocks, just for a few re-tweets...ffs the state of journalism these days.
Long distance medicals are normal

Long distance medicals never heard that one before, could we doctor the information make them seem better than they are.

It happens especially when there are summer tournaments or if the players and medical teams can't easily meet. Either the NT doctors do the medical and send the results, the club send an independent team or part of their own team.

I doubt Ten Hag ever wanted Rice - if he did then the transfer with these two should be easy to achieve even if swap transfers are less likely in real life than FM.

Not on topic, but I think that's the opposite. When I was playing FM I found it hard to swap players. And I don't think the Ai was doing it. I think in real life is far more common, especially in lower leagues.

West Ham are in Germany this weekend, given how desperate we are to get bodies in and the start of the league the following weekend, I can well believe Moyes being desperate enough to do this if it is indeed true.

I still however can't believe *no one* else has heard anything, ExWHU for example didn't mention anything this morning and he tends to have his ears pretty close to the ground with West Ham.

While I do believe West Ham will sign one of Maguire and McTominay in the end, them signing both seems too good to be true but let's see. And do think both players would be really good for WHU. Maguire is obviously good CB as he showed at Leicester and first two seasons at United. McTominay is solid player as well. They also look like David Moyes' signings.

“Long distance medical” that’s a new one.

It's not new. An example that involves United would be Keylor Navas when De Gea's deal failed. Navas had his medical in Madrid.

As a West Ham fan. Would you be happy to get Maguire and Mctominay?

Well, yes, they are both tall and strong.

So they’re at the medical stage and not a single T1 has broke the news for 2 players?

Sounds like bollocks

Would be more sceptical if West Ham weren''t currently in such a minor crisis with fractures between footballing exec and Moyes. A reduced price deal (getting players valued together closer to 70m for 55m or something) to give moyes his british core whilst also leaving a few million for whatever hipster signing the DOF wants to bring in, and also freeing up funds for Amrabat/clawing back some of the Hojlund expenditure, would work for both parties. WH are desperate enough also to start doing pre-emptive medicals too...

All depends on the price we spend on the pair and the sort of wages they both would want (particularly so for Maguire)

Assuming that Moyes does decide to go into a three for the most part I think there is a lot of logic in the pair at the right price. Maguire maybe poor for Man Utd but he does seem to excel for England in a similar set-up that I think WHU would go for.

The three at the back means we probably don't need a full on DM but rather 2 box-box MF, and I think Mctominay would capable of doing a decent job for us.

I'm pretty sure Moyes didn't even bother with a medical for Fellaini when he signed him for United as well. Not that it makes any of the other information from the tweet true.

Do you also need more players? We have some others for sale as well…

C and H just reported the Maguire move

Hm good points mate.

That playstyle would suit them also.

They both will be immense for West Ham and you to have two experienced British internationals for that price is a steal. Great business for both parties.

I think you are right. Season incoming so would be nice to know for both parties aswell.

They'er the type of players who would score against us in their first return game, and have a good enough performance we'll have all the interminable "Utd should never have sold....blah blah blah" that follows.

I feel that is bound to happen everytime we play former United players! :nervous:

Me too

But this time it seems more likely than with many other players, especially with their relative threat from set pieces and us occasionally being suspect at the back to them.
