Wow. A wide range of comments from this thread, its hard to determine how he actually was if you didnt watch the game. (which I had to miss unfortunately) and its tough to tell on highlights.

Didn't look anything special. It always amazes me that we always tend to be biased towards players that come through our academy.I was at the game. He was anonymous for most of it. In the 1st half all the attacks were down his side, there may be more to the explanation of that but to me he seemed to be bypassed. He was either positionally unaware or intentionally hiding from the ball and not showing for it. There was even a passage of play in the 2nd half where no one would pass to him.
He came alive towards the very end where he showed strength and some good turns. Overall poor, but he's only 20 playing one of the positions most demanding of experience.

Bournemouth's counter-attacks largely came from Mata drifting in-field, one of Lukaku, Martial, Lingard or Mata losing the ball, followed by Bournemouth's fullbacks breaking fast so that they had more players attacking than we are accustomed to facing at Old Trafford. Smalling, Jones, Matic and McTominay generally did their jobs correctly, protecting the central zone and restricting Bournemouth to shots that De Gea could save without too much trouble. Valencia and Shaw seemed to be caught between trying to assist the attack and keeping our defence secure.
Decent. Nothing groundbreaking, kept it simple mostly and played well considering his experience and age. Looks like a decent squad player, not like someone you would expect to start games for us regularly now and in the coming years. But who knows how he will develop, definitely not a bad option
Does this largely mean that he's on par to become the new Cleverly?
Edit: Didn't get to see the game so just trying to understand the direction he's headed..
He is pretty average if truth be told. You could put a few from the academy in the side and they would do pretty much the same job. As I posted earlier though, alot of our fans are now overating mediocrity as standards have slipped. We have too many 'functional' midfielders as it is. We need a bit of quality.
Kid was fine.Does this largely mean that he's on par to become the new Cleverly?

Very late bloomer too.Don't see why he can't develop into a Witsel or Nzonzi type of player in the future.

Couldn't really tell much from his performance from the highlights, but from what I saw, they're midfielders were getting onto our defenders a bit too easily in the first half, so thats a bit of a concern... but on the other hand, he showed some great strength at times too.
Still don't think it'll work out for him here, but nice that a Academy player is getting minutes... though it does sort of make me wish Periera was knocking about.
To be fair, both him and Andreas are very different midfielders.

They are, but he would almost certainly be getting a lot of these minutes that McTominay is getting.
