Sancho needs our support

So if it’s made up, then shouldn’t we be even more fecked off that he is out of shape and not available?

imagine being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds a week to not do your job.

It’s almost Phil jones all over again, except Phil might actually have an injury.
We don't know though do we? It's making up answers to things we don't know about that led to religion, and look at all the trouble that caused.

How do you think the club makes its money and pays the wages of its employees? Money simply falls from the sky?

sorry, how on earth do you know how much/if any devilish contributes to Man Utd’s finances? I’m a United fan and I’ve barely given them a penny over the last ten years

"Well run administrations" will quite obviously give a feck about what their employees think or feel because employee retention is one of the most important success drivers in modern business. Have you ever been at one of the Silicon Valley giants and saw how they spoil the people who work for them? And that's only about comfort, not even mental health issues. You can be damn sure that every CEO of successful companies knows that mental health issues are the second biggest cause of sick leaves behind diseases of the musculoskeletal system. They cause billions and billions of economic damage every year.

Or in other words: You have obviously no clue what you're talking about. No clue but an opinion.

PEOPLE THAT PERFORM. As said a thousands time I can't see United paying 350k a week for a player who keep underperforming (actually non performing) for long

Never a truer word spoken. The post you were responding to is absolute nonsense. Maybe it’s the Maltese approach, which from my experience of working for a Malta-based company I can believe to some extent, but definitely not in the Western world at large.

I see @Big Andy already made similar points and the poster just ignored the rebuttal of his “well run institution” nonsense and moved the goalposts. As he always does!

I feel saddened for you not being able to cut it in Malta. It can be a tough place down here. I did well wherever I went both with foreign and local based companies so you should have contacted me and I'd give you tips (for example people tend to be impressed with performance here rather then dazzled with daily morning and evening meetings which is pretty much what happened when I worked in the UK). But oh well.

So in essence, you know nothing and still chose to behave like an ignorant asshole.

Do you even know what you’re gibbering about?

I'm a bit worried as it's a bit unusual for someone who isn't injured to be out for this long. But I still have faith in him and I fully trust how ETH is handling the situation. It'd have been better for Sancho if we just said he's injured I think.

I'm speaking in general, not anyone in particular. If the fans weren't pouring money into the club, then this club would be dead. It's that simple. You might not have, but millions of others do, including me. I don't know why this seems like such a difficult concept to grasp to some of you. If you feel fans are simple 'spectators' and have no say in how a club should be run, then why are you guys then going and complaining about the Glazers and what they've done? It's their club, after all.

Stop making strawmen. None of us is Jadon Sancho’s employer, no matter how much money you spend following the team.

Avoiding the points raised, make random side swipes when challenged… yep, it’s a devilish day! :)

I've been giving the same exact argument over and over again. No one tackled it and you somehow placed in the mixture your bad experience when you tanked ut in Malta which is sad really since I might have helped you with it. My point is simple (so let me repeat it). I've yet to meet an employer who is happy to pay a huge salary to someone who produce nothing. So either sancho snaps out of this or his time with United is probably numbered.

I don’t know why you’re trying to make things personal by suggesting I “tanked” in Malta (not that it matters, but that couldn’t be further from the truth :)), seems childish and what someone does when they don’t really have robust argument. Good luck with that!

I am really not. I'm only saddened as I could have helped you succeed. Its a shame really as I have so much time in my hands these days having semi retired a bit early in life. There not many things to do in a villa with a pool. :)

Nobody is making strawmen. You're either playing dumb at this point or simply baiting for no reason. I'm not gonna argue anymore on this point since none of you have brought a single argument. Employer, spectator, fan, casual, customer, call it what you want. I, or whoever else, have the right to criticize a player who plays for this club for obscene amount of money and doesn't produce anything of note. Sue me, I don't care.

This post is quite crass

Strawmen and moving goalposts.
Words matter when you’re posting your thoughts on a forum. Employer is not the same as fan, spectator or the other equivocating terms you used to obscure your original point. My rebuttal is that none of us are Jadon Sancho’s employer. Spectator? Now you’re getting it!
No one wants to sue you ffs, if we agree you are not Sancho’s employer in any way shape or form but you’re allowed to voice an opinion on him, then move on.

Convinced most of the people on here aren't actually United fans and are on a WUM
Man Utd has an estimated fanbase between 600 -700 mil, which is about 8% of the worlds population. Do you honestly think all those people would, and should have the same opinion? It's just arrogance on your part to assume everyone should have the same opinion as you.

We don't know though do we? It's making up answers to things we don't know about that led to religion, and look at all the trouble that caused.

If you dont know then why the feck are you on a crusade for mental health?

All we're asking is for Sancho to hurry back since he has been deemed physically unfit by the boss. You're one of those whos gone off on a fecking tangent about mental health issues and what the feck not.

Imagine if they did, and everyone put in a tenner. Glazers would go bye bye

Everyone just needs to chill out and let the process run its course.

Luckily we're not missing him so what's the point in rushing him back?

Rashford has been miles better fully focused on football with his head in the right place, if we have to sacrifice a few months of Sancho to get him to the same level mentally then so be it

I would assume people that support the same team as me would want to actually support the team, yeah. Call it arrogance if you like.

Maybe your idea of supporting up a team is to support failed signings indefinitely, while others' ideas of supporting the team is to cut dead weight to improve the team and salvage some money. People have different opinions, increasing your arrogance level does not increase your correctness level.

What is the word on the street about Sancho? Are people willing to give him more time off (or whatever is he doing) just because we're getting good results?

He's been out for a while, I would like to know what's actually happening. This is getting weird.

My goodness, glad I didn’t get into the mud with some of the posters here. What is the point of this thread anyways!? Sancho will eventually come back play well. End of.

Eh?

Club makes money from a lot of activities and they are all based on how popular United is and how large of a fanbase it has. United doesn't get sponsorships just because, it gets them because the sponsors then expect to make money off from the fans who would buy those products. And not just the fans themselves but overall exposure to others who watch. At the end of the day it's all tied to the fanbase.

Your arguments would make sense if this was City and everything in regards to the financial aspect of the club comes from a single 'businessman', but United is not run like that. The Glazers haven't put a single dime in the club. Quite literally.
These are not relevant distinctions when you ask yourself if you are the employer. You are a fan who contributes to the revenues of Manchester United, but you don't pay anyone directly.

It's all a bit vague really, so without knowing any of the specifics it's impossible to give any strong opinions one way or the other. It does seem strange but ETH and Sancho seem to be on the same page so whatever is going on, best to just let it run its course and see what comes out of it.

It's easy to make assumptions about his situation but in reality we know feck all.

No, you're just repeating the same thing over and over ad nauseam while still not providing a single argument to your case. Spectator was also said by Mack, I just reiterated that it doesn't matter the word used, all that matters is that everyone here has a right to be dismayed at various things about the club, including players who are paid obscene amount of money while taking vacations in the middle of the season.

You're taking this quite literally, don't you? The original post was whether devilish had a say in airing his grievances that Sancho is paid a heck of a lot by the club, yet has contributed virtually nothing. And he has the right to do that, especially if he actually gives money to the club. Again, it doesn't matter if literally the Glazers are the ones that pay him the money, that money doesn't come out from the Glazers pockets but from the fans and sponsorships that are directly tied to the fans anyway. That is the reason why I used "technically" in my original post and not "literally".
