Sanchez says he wishes Man Utd signed 'many more world-class players'

I don’t believe that. Only idiots would comment on something after only reading the headline.

 Well done. Interview was good, if only people spent couple of mins reading the interview before giving their opinion.

It's almost impossible to have a team full of world class players that have all been signed.

At some point, 1 or 2 players need to develop into world beaters through coaching and learning out there on the pitch.

At the moment our big guns are:

De Gea
Pogba
Lukaku
Sanchez

Maybe a couple of these will become world class over the next season or two (I bloody hope so!):

Bailly
Lindelof
Martial
Rashford
Fred
Pereira
Dalot

Almost everyone else in the squad has shown they'll not reach that top bracket consistently. Unless I'm missing someone obvious (it's been a long day)

Keep your head down Sanchez, don't worry about the squad and just give your best. The fans are itching for a good season from you!

maybe he should have signed for city then rather then coming here because more money was on offer for him. bit of a hard neck considering how poor he has been for us so far.
Looks like I've just found Guillem Balague's caf account.

It's not that simple...it's not that we can't afford to pay a transfer fee for top players, it's that they will all now want a similar amount to Sanchez and why not. All of a sudden the wage bill will have doubled or more.
That's one of the issues in paying someone like him such astronomical wages. Why would any top player agree to come here and play for significantly less than Sanchez, it's not like he has even done anything yet to justify his wages.
Does he expect the world class players he'd like us to sign to be happy to earn a fraction of what he does?
You can bet that every contract renewal from now on the player will want a significant increase.
Part of the reason we can't get players to move on from the club is that we already pay a lot of them way more than we should and way more than they would get at other teams. We have squad players on 100k a week or more.

Martial FC is out in force.
He can play shite and suggest better players around him? He should not have the right to even speak out about the clubs performance or players when he himself plays worse than current crop of players!
No one has said anything about Martial at all. Go read the sun page 3.

Aye. It is not like he is tearing it up here, while others are letting him down. He is not to us what the starfish was for the scousers. Being on megabucks and having delivered sweet feck all so far, the fecker is the last one to speak about the club's ambitions.

Can people not get on any more? It’s honestly as if the feeling of negativity pre season has made people have a hair trigger for their emotions. Read more posts in the last week of posters retaliating against other posters because of a difference in opinion. Lots of strong feelings against our own players due to different media reports and stuff too. That’s the main reason I’m not posting a lot at the moment, it’s like a bear pit the now.

Maybe that's one of the reasons he left arsenal

Don't blame him

How many big name players who moved in this window would have fit into our squad. A genuine question?
Ronaldo, Mahrez, possibly Malcom, Bonucci. That's it for players who would have been expected to start here immediately.

A few squad players like Shaqiri too. But it has been a quite transfer window.

The guy in a nutshell. FFS. It's all me me me with him.

Can you blame him though? He was the standalone player keeping Arsenal's head above the water, and now he's at a club supposed to have a handful of star players, but then again no. He has the responsability to shine and needs proper service to do so. I actually reckon he's being honest and conscious about his role at the team and that's a good thing.

Wish he played more like a world class player.

He's not been terrible but he's not been as good as he can be, he's put a few decent crosses in that nobody seemed to read. He's also been knocked off the ball to easily.

He's lost the ball a fair bit but he's looked he most likely to create all game. On another day those passes and flicks will come off and he'll get some assists in.

 maybe

Sure he put Lukaku through for an easy chance, there was a few times where he created dangerous situations, sometimes his pass or touch let him down but a few of the runs from the other forwards didn't help.

If he couldn’t provide that obvious and easy pass to Lukaku then he might as well give up being a footballler.

It’d give him another month to see how he gets on
